Totally on the fence regarding the HF, but while its currently now to slag them off, please remember at times our home support has been painfully bad.

I don't think anyone has forgot what happened, but, this is about people handing over their money to something that should've happened at the West Ham game on the 21st April. They then say they won't do it unless they get to put a banner up.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Perhaps if the HF stopped wearing the black " I'm in a gang" uniform & wore club colours like most then wouldn't need flags as would be quite colourful without them, like the Bayan Munich game the other night. A few flags at one end which didn't add much, but the fact that nearly everyone was in club colours made a big difference & was noticeable

Overall I am in favour of the HF in terms of what they bring to the match day experience / party- however what does irk me is that whenever they feel that something is not going their way they seem to feel that the best course of action is to try to put a metaphorical gun to the clubs head to force the outcome that they want - i.e - if you don't do this (move seats / reinstate banner) it dosent feel like a negotiation it feels like blackmail. At least from the outside / what gets written - maybe I am wrong, for sure I am not in the room when these things are discussed - but thats how it feels.

Wow it’s been a few months since I came on to look at what’s going on. The last time I did it was all about our little friends dressed in black. It’s very simply a case of”We told you so” It didn’t take a genius to work out that the move from B to was never going to improve the atmosphere. When the move was very first muted, I said that the good sound generated was assisted by the low hanging Arthur roof which In turn helped the volume travel around the stadium. By moving to Block E it simply dissipates into a concrete overhang then into the air. I still stand in B and truthfully apart from the drum we rarely hear them sing. Getting back to this topic. Personally I wouldn’t pay into anyone’s account as you cannot be certain what that money is being used for. The only time I did was for the brilliant 2 cocks tifo which involved the entire Holmesdale. I honestly think the group has been in a very steep decline since those days. With them it’s always been a case if you don’t play our game I’m taking the ball home.

I agree with a fair bit of what's been said about the HF, especially surrounding their idea of special treatment and representation as some sort of unique voice of Palace fans. Nonetheless I think the move from Block B to the middle has been a good thing. The whole of Block E and most either side in D and F stand for an entire game which creates a more intense, supportive atmosphere. Their displays in the past have been very organised as well, not to mention impressive. Try telling that to the hundreds of established fans that sat there, wanted to remain there and were forced by the club to move.

Any update on the flags being used in the Holmesdale ?? Surely we can get this in place for last game of the season? If there is an issue with this banner nonsense then i do think donations should be returned as it was never mentioned on the go fund page? I happily donated and was really excited to see this put in place as it will look fab , especially when we push for Europe next season...😎😎😎 COYP PS Selhurst was back to its best against Man U , what a night !!

My guess is that the long term vision was/is that once the new stand is built most people will want to move into it, which will free up loads of seats. At the same time, the lower tier will (hopefully) become a safe standing area where those who want to sing for 90 minutes will congregate around the HF and expand the section. Personally, I love what they do on the whole. I haven't been to many games over the past couple of seasons - mainly due to a lack of interest/mid table boredom - but I'll always make an effort to get to the cup games to be in/near the HF. Makes the whole experience much more enjoyable for me. The atmosphere in the rest of the ground is pretty drab, so would rather watch at home and save the money. Must say the banner unveiled at Arsenal was poor. It didn't represent the view of most Palace fans and was an embarrassment. My only gripe is that they seem to consider themselves the voice of all Palace fans.

My only gripe is that they seem to consider themselves the voice of all Palace fans. I dunno about that. I would imagine most people sitting behind the goal are used to the view and wouldn't want to move. I'm in the Arthur and personanlly I don't like watching a game from behind the goal. As for the whole money, flags and where's it gone chat, well if nothing happens and no refunds are given without good explanation, then people simply won't contribute financially next time. If it's because of the banner then IMHO the HF are essentially saying that it's more important they get their banner put back up, than the goodwill of the rest of the fans and that'll break some trust that will be very hard to get back.
