Apparently he is pragmatic which is always a good sign. My guess is that he will try and find a way to get results this season and then look to play his preferred way next.

I am of the opinion that we will get a new manager bounce effect. Surely the players will up their game to try and impress.
I for one think it is a great appointment and give us a chance to climb up the table.
Best wishes to Roy for a speedy recovery.

Honestly, one of the things I'm most excited about this appointment is how our perception of some of our players will change.

Roy's tactics have convinced us half of this squad are much worse than than they are - a better manager is going to get so much more out of them.

Really like the sound of this appointment but I'd be surprised if his preferred methods don't take a while to implement, so foresee a very tough last few months of the season as we try to adjust to his style. Can't really see a new manager bounce happening either without Eze, Olise and Guehi around. I Really hope we stick with him through any such tough period. We must give him time to turn things around - even in the event of relegation. Aim for survival and to kick on next year. Anything better is a bonus at this point.

I didn't want to sound too rose-tinted but I have the same hope if not expectation.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

The following was added to the 'New Manager' thread on BBS by bubbs11 so, apologies to you bubbs for adding it here, but it made me chuckle.

So, Glasner….Austrian born white male who rose to fame in Germany. Successful campaign in Europe as Commander in Chief of a black uniformed squad and now looking to conquer England.

He’s reminding me of someone but I can’t quite put my finger on it.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Well the papers were reporting that we were going to appoint Adolf Hutter a year ago so perhaps a theme is developing?
