Well, from this article, Glasner's certainly not here to just make up the numbers.....

Good!

I'm hoping Glasner becomes many of our 'favourite ever manager' in the short, medium or possibly long term future. He's still loved at Frankfurt and I hope it plays out similarly for us.

Things can always go wrong, not work out etc. but I feel there is genuine cause for some hope, excitement and anticipation here.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I like what he is saying, so that's a start. Realistically the big clubs will win all of the trophies 90% of the time, so really it's about making the experience as enjoyable as possible while we fight against the odds. You look around and clubs like Wolves, Bournemouth and Brighton have provided good entertainment for their fans without ever looking like they'll actually win a trophy. I'd be good with that.

Anything but another season of just scraping by

The rest of this season and the summer is all about getting use to the new system, we will get new players in and let some old ones go so the futures looking better. Roy's football was very boring at times atlease with the new boss he's more attacking, we just need to take our chances better and we will when we get in the players the boss wants.

Looking forward to next season

It's being reported that Kofi Balmer, who is on loan at Wimbledon, will leave Palace in the summer, he will have a year left on his contract. He's 23 & a CB . . . [Link]

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

It’s looking likely that we’ll stay up and future planning will start in earnest for next season’s squad.
We have a number of players out of contract and Glasner has now had an opportunity to work with them and it will be interesting to see which ones he may wish to retain.
We can’t let all the out of contract players or we won’t have a squad for next season so some will stay I would think.
Glasner has now name checked Jairo on a few occasions and , although it would surprise many on here, it wouldn’t surprise me if he stayed.
He can play a few positions, is only in his mid twenties and seems happy to be a squad member rather than demand a first team place.
I could also see Hughes staying as midfield cover and Ward as defensive cover.
I could see Tomkins, Clyne and Ferguson departing and possibly Schlupp.

I liked the cut of Ollie's jib from the start. He's proving to be an excellent trainer, motivator and all round good egg. A brilliant fit for us in fact.

There's no doubt some of our squad will go and, as you write Patrick, the manager will have formed a pretty clear idea of the players he wants to keep. The big question will be whether market forces push us to sell our brightest stars. I was encouraged by his answer in the post match interview about Olise. He gave the impression that he was expecting him to be with us next season.

That may just have been my own hyped sense of anticipation after yesterday's fabulous victory of course.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Maybe Jairo would even consider having a proper trim to lighten the load. At the moment he must find it hard with his current hair.

Wasn't Jairo bought by FDB who wanted us to play like OG? If so he has never really been given that role in the team so perhaps OG is thinking he is oven ready for it?

Just a thought.
