It will be a tough game and probably a tough watch but its not beyond our side to get a result I don’t disagree. I hope he drops the Eza position behind Mateta by not playing Franca. We need to be solid which we haven’t been in midfield since trying to accommodate Eza. We need a solid middle 3 of Lerma, Wharton and Hughes with Ayew and Schlupp either side protecting the two full backs. If Ward is fit, I would play Munoz in front of him and Ayew on the left. That way, we may go back to the Hodgson goes for a draw setup and at best a 0:0 and not get stuffed. Last night was Chelsea’s best game in a long while, let’s hope they go back to being not so good :-)

I predict a toxic atmosphere and a cacophony of negative outpourings with some being on the end of unrelenting invective.

Any opponent will have cottoned on by now that the easiest way to get three points from us is to score early on and that we can't defend a corner. Chelsea will just repeat the scintillating display of football they demonstrated last night against AV. If they are feeling kind, it's 3-0 to Chelsea.

He's the most talented player we've had in years, so well worth trying to accommodate. Not that playing a #10 is a particularly farfetched idea...most teams do it. Wouldn't play Ward in a million years. Chelsea have the individual quality to pick us apart if we're too negative. Best chance against them for me is to get in their faces, get the fanbase on their back and get stuck in.

Will be: Johnson Seems like every time I think we will easily win we lose. When I think the season is done, I look into the abyss in a season we pull out something (win or tie). I'm going for a 1-0 Palace win.

Hear what you say about Ward, but he’s heading ability and last ditch clearances have been missed since the injury. Not bigging him up but our other defenders struggle in the air. We be need a new right back and perhaps we now have one but his strength is going forward which is why B I suggested he plays in front of Ward. Opinions :-)
