Without substantial new funds we will continue as we are regardless of who is manager. You’re right, but for one season under PV we were so much easier on the eye and it was a lot more enjoyable getting to our usual mediocrity

I like I suspect many other supporters are not confident of attaining too many points in December. Even if we are still on 16 pts at the end of this month, I still believe we will not be in the relegation zone as I do not envisage any of the current bottom three reaching that points tally by the end of this year.

Just the 1 s***house win and we fly up the table. Relax. Roy knows how to get us out of a winless run. Parish will get the finger out in January. Relax it will be okay.

Although I'm firmly in the Roy Out camp and also the 'If the owners don't start investing in this team they can also f*** off' camp, I don't think we'll go down this season. It is extremely important though that we don't rest on our laurels and we act decisively in January and try to get, at a minimum, a couple of loans in early rather than waiting for the deadline.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

Just been having a look at this We've potentially got 6 players out who would normally be in the first team, with Doucoure, Eze, Mitchell, Johnstone, Edouard and Lerma. Ayew is suspended and Rak-Sakyi, who is knocking on the door, out as well. Add in that our cover for Johnstone is also out, and it makes grim reading. When you look at that I don't think that any team, with the exception of the high rollers, would have an easy time with that sort of absence list. It's obvious that we need a decent striker, I don't think we've had one since Murray, and our full/wing backs need replacing as well as cover. And we've still not filled the void that Zaha left. I figured that Henderson was a panic buy after Guita did us dirty (although it looks like we spent too much on him) but I am disappointed that Franca now appears to be a future prospect, when the talk around him when we signed him was as the next Ronaldo. Might as well be the next Ronald McDonald for the amount of game time we've seen of him. The truth of the matter is that unless you've got a ton of cash to spend, you're just not going to have the kind of depth in the squad with quality that we need at the moment. I'm not buying the theory that Parish and the board are holding back, I think it's true to say that Parish has been distracted with the new stand, but I don't know where we're supposed to be getting the kind of money that would buy in four or five, first team ready players. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see it, but I just don't see where we're going to get the finance from without selling our better players and then you're robbing Peter to pay Paul. Add in that agents will smell the desperation and inflate prices and it's all looking a bit screwed unless we can get some high-quality loans in. Anyone know of a bored, Palace supporting billionaire anywhere? How much cash has Neil Morrissey got lying around? Must of made a few quid from that Bob the Builder stuff...

Don't we have a few billionaire investors? I don't even know anymore, didn't think it mattered much. Beyond that, why did we spend all our money on a GK and a CF who cannot play? That's a poignant question. What was the thinking behind that?

That's a poignant question. What was the thinking behind that? Yeah, you've got a point, guess I mean billionaire Palace fans who could invest. I think I'll take that back then, perhaps they are holding back a bit in investing, but I don't think Harris and Blitzer are that committed to the club given that they tried to get involved with buying Chelsea. We just need someone to buy them out with deep pockets and a deeper interest in investing in us. Anyone know anyone? I can only think that Henderson was a panic buy, only one that was available that might be good enough and we got done over. I'd still like to know what happened with that CF we were supposed to be bringing in from PSG, sounded like a done deal at the time.

In the cold light of day,we have little chance of gaining a point from our next three fixtures and unless the Board wake up and smell the coffee,we will be flirting with relegation, given our horrendous injuries and our fellow relegation candidates beginning to show some improvement in form.
