All due respects to the club, but wouldn’t think he was a Palace supporter or that Palace are a must see if in town. So who knows. Wouldn’t have thought we offered much he didn’t have at Wolves, or could have had if he hung around, buts it’s football and as said who knows.

I'm guessing he isn't on anyone's friends & family list, so if true he either requested a ticket or was invited by the club.

The young lads came off the bench and were the only bright spot against Toon...Roy says they had nothing to be happy about. They come off the bench against Spurs and don't seem to have any clear instruction about what they're supposed to be doing. Roy focuses on how bad they were. If it's all stick and no carrot is that really a good strategy? Franca came off the bench against Toon looking like he was brimming with confidence and played like it. He looked like a nervous boy when he came on on Friday and played like it; why is that? JRS was similar.

I was surprised at how well Roy got us playing last season but in the 10 games so far I would argue we've only really played that well in two, Sheffield Utd (who were awful) and United away (who have been toothless). These next three games will give us a better idea of where we're at, but Roy seems really agitated at the moment (he's given a few stroppy interviews of late). Talk of getting rid of him is mad, but he needs to pull his head out of his ar$e.

In Roy's spare time he's at home with Sheila, and she's asked Roy why he keeps doing what he does, and how she and he should go to see the Northern Lights, or maybe visit the Galapagos Islands, before, well you know...
This gives Roy pause for thought, and he realises that when he said that he was done with PL football management he never really meant it, it's like a drug and he's addicted. This causes Roy some concern. "She's right you know Roy" he says to himself, "You're just going through the motions, you've been rather tetchy of late, and you have to be honest with yourself".
Roy then realises that he's spotted ex Wolves manager Lopetegui twice in the stands and puts two and two together. "They approached me behind Patrick's back, hmmm, I wonder?", he ponders.
"Where shall we go first darling?" Roy asks Sheila.

In my opinion he is like all of us very very frustrated. Possibly his last season in management and he had high hopes of a decent finish with possibly push for Europe and now he has seen his already weak squad destroyed with injuries and the lack of quality replacement is shocking at this level.

Roy was being candid, we do not have a string of academy players or U21's we can fit into the PL, they are not good enough yet.

We have a paper thin squad due to lack of investment an a poor medical team who presumably look at incoming transfers like Henderson and Ferguson.

Roy is probably getting fed up with having to try and get results with insufficent resources. If this goes on we will need three worse teams than us every year.

The " next level " stuff is dreamland. Unless we are bought by deep pockets we will stay as we are, hopefully not an annual relegation battle but no hope of breaking into top eight

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Highly likely.
When one takes a step back and takes an honest look at the starting line ups of the last few games one has to openly concede that, barring the keeper, centre backs, and one midfielder, we are as lacking in quality as in any other season we have spent during this period of our history in the PL, and arguably this side that Roy has to manage is inferior to most of them. Given what the club has spent on transfer fees and wages during this period the end result is abysmal. But we'll still finish 12th and that's ok then.

You could argue that we have spent what it costs to stand still, but have the possibility to do better if everyone stays fit & do worse if injuries / suspensions to key players catch up with us.

I'm a big Roy fan on the whole, but think he got it wrong to call out the youngsters publicly. This sort of thing should be said behind closed doors. I don't see how it would benefit anyone, especially Franca who is new to the county and language.

Can understand his frustration but its a bit of freak scenario to have so many injuries to key players. The squad is a bit thin, but I feel the club are doing their best with a limited budget. The silver lining is we'd likely have lost the last two games even with our strongest side.

With Eze and Olise likely returning over the next two weeks coinciding with a run of winnable games, we'll hopefully be back in the top half with everyone feeling more positive. We're close to being a very good side, just missing full backs and a striker.

I think we have one of the best starting XI's we've had in the PL era, but a very thin squad. It's a real shame the Lewis Hall and Ekitike deals fell through as they could have made a big difference. Hopefully we'll make some moves in January. Given those near deals I can see JPM leaving and another striker coming in and possibly another left-back (or maybe I'm just being delusional again?!) For a club our size 12th is a good finish, but I really hope when Eze and Olise return we can see some more entertainment on the pitch.

Talksport have accused Roy of throwing the youngsters '' under the bus ''.

It's just possible that having seen the club spunk £40m on a goalkeeper and unknown teenager, he feels that he has been.
