If I were a betting man… and could place a bet on it, I’d go:

Johnstone

Ward
Andersen
Guehi
Mitchell

Lerma
Doucoure
Eze

Schlupp
Edouard
Ayew

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

This should be right - as long as TM is fully recovered - if not then Clyne will fill in again

Hodgson said that Mitchell is fit which I assume means he's available to start and not just sit on the bench, so I think Nic's 11 is nailed on, if that is the case.

As for the subs - well they pick themselves:
Matthews, Whitworth, Clyne, Richards, Tomkins, Riedewald, Ahamada, Mateta, Rak-Sakyi.

If any of the subs are injured, we're looking at the Academy and lads such as Ozoh, Wells-Morrison etc.

Slightly frivolous of me, but is the starting XI of a team something that you can bet on, does anyone know? You seem to be able to bet on just about everything else regarding a match, down to how many times the ref blows his nose in the first half etc.

Anyway, Nic, your line-up wouldn't surprise me.

It will be more 4411 with Eze given a free role behind Edouard and Ayew and Schlupp in the wide midfield positions given licence to push forward with Lerma and Doucoure in the more defensive positions.
Roy’s used this approach in pre season and I can see it continuing until others are available.
It’s a well balanced and competitive team with no square pegs in round holes.

Weaknesses?
A possible vulnerability to defending set pieces either on the second ball or under aerial attack.
A lack of imagination in the final third apart from Eze.
No real game changer on the bench.

Without doubt the starting 11, unless injuries

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

I should have fully investigated the financial opportunities available to monetise my soothsaying! Alas, poor Nicholas91
