Yet another scandal to the list with Laurence Fox suspended from the channel for a rant about a female journalist, while the host (who's got a whole host of allegations of his own which everyone is weirdly quiet on) chuckles away.

GB News now sh*tting themselves and apologising left right and centre in the hope they don't get shut down.

Remember, they are here to takeover!

Desperate stuff from you as ever.

I guess the idea that a TV station questions your narrow minded views really triggers you.

Lawrence Fox's comments were unprofessional, and he deserves a rap on the knuckles. He should apologise personally to the lady concerned for making personal comments about her, and everyone should move on.

I can’t remember GB news being involved in such a kerfuffle when a female person of colour used the C word in a live interview…

hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing.

I choose to spend my free time posting on here... if I were sensitive to having my views questioned, why on earth would I do that?

If we're going to have threads when they 'win' bulls*** awards, you best believe we're going to have posts when they f*** up as well.

It’s not though is it

It’s calling out bellendery and rightly so

In other words, providing some ballance amongst all the fawning

It does seem to me that ‘cancelling’ is often trotted out by the right as a sort of reverse cancel device whenever anyone criticises someone, or more specifically one of their idols. Which is ironic.

It is what it is.
Actor turned activist and TV presenter insults a woman.

When you have outspoken people on TV, they will likely cross a line from time to time. He was unprofessional, and his employers can take what ever action they deem appropriate.
A sensible approach would be a personal apology from the man himself.
GB News can hardly do more than suspend him while it is investigated.

*When you have outspoken people on TV that need to monetise their social media audiences to survive, they will likely cross a line from time to time

I'm not sure it will be the only suspension this year.

And yes, a sensible approach would be an apology from Fox, but judging by his social media, that seems unlikely to happen.

The guys an imbecilic grifter.

What Fox did was great in my view.

It was a bit rude but nothing more than that.

Of course this country is now awash with lefty puritans (selective of course) of course Ofcom are probably among the most 'progressive'. They will all be screaming at the top of their hypocritical lungs and I have little doubt Fox will eventually get the chop.

It just exposes how far this country has regressed on freedom of speech.

Anyone who remembers talk shows of the past like Parkinson would remember far more candid things being said.....but that was more of a time for adults who weren't so offended about people giving honest opinions.

The glory days when misogyny was rife and no one dared complain about it! Bring them back!

Rubbish

I see no freedom of speech infringements here. It's a corporation deciding to suspend an employee who has made significantly derogatory comments to an individual in the workplace. And worse, in public

Would happen in any business, and no-one would complain.

Once again the 'I should be able to say what I like without consequence' angle is trotted out. This has never been the case, and never will

It's laughable in many ways.

The idea that being rude about someone on TV is worthy of anything other than perhaps a quiet word in the ear really does demonstrate how immature we have become as a nation.

I wonder why that has happened? He asked knowingly.
