I think we're just being used by agents to flush out other offers. I'm not sure I've seen anyone reliable link us to him, it's all been Italian outlets and places like Football Insider/HITC.

Agreed, the club have said previously that big money signings are not the MO anymore as they have previously only landed us in hot water.
Besides if we sell one of the defenders for a lot of money you better believe that money is going towards paying off "outstanding debts and loans"

This has all the hallmarks of agents or Torino, trying to push Liverpools buttons. Palace just don’t need to spend this kind of money , unless they sell one of our two centre backs.
The click bait is all over the place on it, first it’s £30 mill then£35mill now it’s £40 mill Torino, are looking for. And the player likes the Palace terms, but of course he would sooner go to Liverpool. Is anyone surprised?
This could happen but only if we sell ,and Liverpool are not interested enough.

I think you mean €35 m roughly converts to £30 mill, finger problems?
Which is what they say we have offered., after originally the talk was €30 mill was pretty well there. Now though the click bait crowd say Torino actually want €40mill , so even the €35mill offered is stretched again.. cant help feeling something getting pulled.

Much as I like MG and JA, I think that when defending corners/high balls in the box they are not dominant enough in the air.
I would prefer either of them with a taller dominant centre back, to address our vulnerability from set pieces.Not sure if Richards is that player but if he is it would save us a fortune.

If he goes to Liverpool how about trying for Joe Gomez? Can play full back on both sides as well as central defender.

A lot of their fans seem to dislike him but he would be good for us. Fast - which we could sometimes do with at the back. My criticism would be - what is he best at? I suspect sweeper, but no one really uses them anymore. I would say he's better centrally but probably better than what we have on the right currently (which isn't exactly our strong point). I'd suspect silly wages but whatever fee could be knocked right down, I reckon. I wouldn't want to pay much. I've suspected he can't be fully happy at Liverpool but am just saying that completely off the top of my head.
