I thought Ayew was rubbish today actually. An exhibition of his weaker attributes I’d say. Literally did everything and made all the wrong decisions for one of our best chances. The things he does he always does well however he really proved a weak link in attack at times.

It’s not the end of the world by a long chalk, feels slightly like a couple points dropped however overall we just looked off it today, like we’d run out of momentum. We were solid at the back and from set pieces however so that’s one plus. It looked as though they were just throwing themselves to the ground at every opportunity to try and get a goal from a set piece but beyond that had no idea whatsoever.

A real non event but a point and clean sheet. Hopefully we’ll be more up for it against wolves Tuesday. An equally uneventful and slow but relatively comfortable ending to the season looks on the cards but it’s far better than us fighting desperately and perhaps in futility for survival.

Wow really???... I've been one of his biggest critics but I thought he was superb today.

It was a really flat game. The sort of game that we could still be playing in the morning and it would still be 0-0..
Let's face it we've been treated to some great stuff the last 3 games so we were due a flat one. Respect the point.

We definitely need a new right back and left back. Both Mitchell and Ward are so poor and predictable going forward. I genuinely struggle to believe that Mitchell played for England only last season.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

The sort of game probably many of us were expecting before kick off.
Lots of aerial ball and direct play which made it difficult for our better players to flourish.
Needed one moment of quality to win it, but other than a few nearly moments it didn't happen for us.

I’m the other way round KBLF!

I am a fan of Ayew’s and feel as though I’ve ‘always appreciated him’ but today, as a one off bit of commentary, we broke through with a 3 on 2 and he did the worst possible thing and squandered it, at one point we were in a good position and he absolutely spooned a shot to nowhere from outside of the box under no pressure and asides from that yes he grafts and gets the ball but wasn’t able to do anything with it. It’s not a wider opinion just on the game today to reiterate.

Agree with you on rest of game, we didn’t look at the races today however still came away with a point and a clean sheet. Not cause for celebration but equally not anything to really moan about.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I'm not sure if Everton will be satisfied as it has dropped them into the bottom three.

But Dyche has to respect the away point too.

We are not in their position, let's give thanks for that.

Actually, think it's Steve Stone

I think the IW on his track suit seen in previous games is a clue.

Criticism of Ayew is off the mark. At least he is there, making the run, bringing the ill-timed challenge, actually doing something, having an effect. I look at Edouard and I wonder, what does he bring to the party? Zilch. Zero. Nothing worth getting excited about. Roy must now realise what Pat had to expect from Edouard and Mateta; not a lot frankly. I must admit that when Roy arrived I thought that he might be able to get a tune out of these two below average non strikers, but I think it's beyond even his skills.

A big congratulations to Sean Dyche. He has only been there a couple of months and he has already managed to recreate them in the form of Burnley. Hoof ball and time-wasting from the 19th minute. Would love to see them relegated.

Ah, but there were 2 of them with Dyche and the NOT IW one was the one who looked more like Steve Coppell

West ham v Gent - Declan Rice goal from half way & two players on him & scored !
Jordan “bottled it” Ayew no player on him 6 yards from him & played a terrible pass !

For sure 2nd half he had a brilliant chance into box & shoot YET he looked to send what was a really poor pass.

The. Towards end the attempt to hit a satellite or Chinese spy balloon

Roy the 5 players upfront need a chat - do t shoot don’t score equation please

I thought he was very good today , not just that but better than Wilf has been for a while now , He had two men on him everytime he got the ball and glided through them most of the time , he got tackles in and crossed the ball instead of trying the impossible, and got a player sent off . he loved it when we were chanting his name. Dont know what Roy or Ray is putting in the tea , hope its legal though . Im amazed Mitchel didnt get sent off , the ref was very poor .

You obviously havent seen a recent photo of Coppell, his face is way thinner.

Ayew did play well today and was arguably our best player, but (and it's an important but) he did make some wrong choices in terms of his delivery of the ball in critical attacking positions.
At this stage of his career it's doubtful he will improve in this regard, but he does warrant a place on current form.
I suspect he will take Edouard's position doen the middle when Zaha returns.
