With us in a decent spell we will be the favourites but a point would do for us whereas a win is much needed by them so for me it's an away win.
Is it only me or do we look better without Wilf? hate to say it as he has been a favourite over the years but seems to want a super goal rather than a team performance lately.

It’s the psychological approach - Leeds we’re thinking - no Wilf …easier game. Ayew’s work rate is superior to Wilf’s and passes the ball more. Personally, think we are moving on without him - so better all round results

he cant beat players anymore sadly. When he puts on the after burners he pulls the hamstrings.

We are high in confidence, but Leeds showed in the 1st half what is possible if you don't give us space. (and we're not on it).

we don't want to be level going into 75 mins, or JWP will fancy it.

We should have enough to win, but Palace Lore says that after the 2 victories, we'll lose. I'm going to eschew such Lore and go for a 0-2 win for the away team.

"It was a Team effort, I guess it took all players working together to lose this one"

This fixture is so critical for Saints, they will throw everything at it and have a good squad despite their position.

So I think home win but if we are solid and organised we have the flair players to change that.

We will have to be lucky with the vile VAR.

I think Johnston will start and the most obvious thing is to prepare for JWP.

I think take a player out of the wall and a spare attacker and put them on the goal-line, and ensure a clear line of vision.

It's just a thought, but we have our own JWP, Scott Banks, I would personally have him on the bench as a specialist sub.

Ideas, you never know.

Banks doing well - scores the first goal here in his last match Not a free kick however.

Yep, getting a win against us has to be their last chance, so conversely that means that us beating them will send them down (mentally at the very least!).

Marvellous!

The trouble with computers, of course, is that they're very sophisticated idiots

I will be very happy to see the same line up as at Leeds. Zaha and Guiata still injured.

Having said that, I am very comfortable with Roy's team selections and subs.

Roy seems to have returned with a far more attacking vein. Long may this excellent start continue.

The 1st goal Ayew got on Sunday was superb and doubt Wilf would have scored it, his jump was perfect timing and got power in the header. His all round game was better than Wilf’s also IMO.

Would probably take a draw right now.

Keep the points ticking up. Keep momentum.

We know Palace. We don't win the ones we're expected to. This has got banana peel written all over it.

Glad Wilf will be out - so it won't become the JWP vs Wilf show.

We have more quality than them. They may well be fighting harder than us...as if they lose this, I think they're screwed.

2-2

First half an hour will be vital. They will throw everything at us but we need to try and hold on. At this level teams can’t sustain that pressure for more than about 30 minutes (as per Leeds). Ride out that period at 0-0 I reckon we will win the second half so I’m going for an away win.

don't give away silly free kicks on the edge of the box (JWP Range) & don't allow free headers at the far post - bring energy & tenacity throughout the team (close them down properly) & the game has Southampton 0 Palace 2 written all over it, but ..... this is Palace were talking about, so going into the game on a high, ignore the basics & we will be fortunate to come away with a draw.

My prediction is that there will be rotational fouling on Eze and Olise, led by rat face. Ref will not pick up on it
