Against Leeds and Leicester City. PV was unlucky with the fixture list. Ridiculously unlucky. But he’s gone and we have won our last two games and scored seven goals. That will do for me.

Just rejoice he has gone, and look forward, now he has, to another year in the premiership. The Premiership is in Scotland.

I still don't understand this fixture list rhetoric. Sure, you expect to pick up fewer points against that group, but it's the first time in years and years that we haven't beaten any of the big sides. Bournemouth and Forest beat Liverpool; Southampton, Wolves and Leeds beat Chelsea; Everton beat Arsenal; Leicester thumped Spurs... We didn't even have a go against them. The players had zero belief they'd win, it was written all over them.

The top teams lose a lot less games so why should we be more likely to get points off them. Agree we should have done better than we did however.

It was all so promising and positive last season under Vieira.Supporters were glad to witness the end of so called "Royball" and the team played with more energy and verve, were far easier on the eye, reached the semi-final of the FA Cup and finished 12th in the PL with a positive goal difference for the first time. I should imagine that despite the issues this year, he will get a cordial reception if he returns to Selhurst Park with another team. Edited by Willo (11 Apr 2023 11.08pm)

It was very unlucky that we had to play the bottom club (Nottingham Forest) on a day when we chose to have (not for the first or last time) no shots on target, I suppose.

Conor Gallagher and new manager bounce saw to it that PV's first season was a good one. I don't hear too many complaining about how it went. The cracks started showing this season, with curious tactics, choice of player, substitutions, player fitness concerns, and what appeared to be a more defensive mentality. That said, we were more or less hovering around 12th place even after a run of games against teams higher up the table. Edited by southnorwoodhill (12 Apr 2023 6.38am)

totally agree southnorwood. Some of the rubbish being thrown at PV is ridiculous and unfair ,there were no complaints last season when we got to the Semi Final with refreshing football, nor were there that many before the world cup, but some of the bile being thrown at him for the crime of taking us to the depths of 12th in the league just is not fair and makes supporters sound almost Charltonesque with their views on Curbishley. And finally the answer would i have PV back next year is absolutely , the flak needs to be aimed at the board nowhere else
