Surely not Roy!. I was a huge supporter of his when most folk on here were putting the knife in, but he has had his time.

We need fresh ideas and a strong personality who can read the riot act to namby-pampy footballers.

But please not Lampard or Gerrard, their past experiences are less than encouraging. Personally I like the idea of Shaun Derry coming in for the rest of the season at least.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

We Need Strikers ! We need an attacking mid ! we need a leader on the pitch

Parish you plonker how can you teach a so called striker to shoot & score ?

With the teams yet to play it would have been worth holding onto Pat & you putting on players !

If you don’t want to finish bottom near relegation battles then support you coach

You did the same to Pulis same to Holloway now to Pat - your the problem

Yes we lost a few yes we draw against teams above us who have spent s*** loads more

Yes the bottom two have new coaches but have they improved ? No why cos the players don’t cut it simple !

Do our players cut it No - EZE & Ayew don’t cut it - our two strikers Don t cut it - we have aging players Milo / Ward / Tomkins - come on wake up Parish

From what I have seen Carrick would be a great appointment and would jump at chance of premier league management for a team sat in 12th Komoamy probably the same
However
After all my recent predictions coming true , I genuinely thought it would be Carrick , but it will be Roy Hodgson based on the betting

I disagree SF.

I think both Carrick and Kompany are very good prospects however we have to battle our way through 10 games now, fighting for survival. As mentioned I'd be surprised if either would come too. Maybe in the summer, with a promise of investment, but not now surely, a poison chalice very potentially..

We need someone to hit the ground running and see us through, hence Roy being fav. in betting. An experienced PL manager is what is needed short term and there's little room for settling in, tinkering and experimentation in my eyes. There are some decent players there, they just need organisation, drilling and a bit of a rocket to get them going.

My hope is get us through to end of season safely, reset and re-strategise in the summer. I'm not hopeful on first and even if achieved less so on the latter.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I really hope the board have a plan.

I really hope it isn't Roy.

Other than that I genuinely don't have a clue. I don't see an obvious replacement, but maybe Dougie does. I suppose if I was pushed I'd say Hassenhutl just by virtue of the fact he'd at least make it entertaining. I really can't bare the thought of watching a Roy team again. I've never been so bored of watching Palace in my life as his last season in charge.

Why not bring in Sean Derry till the end of the season. Sounds like he went because he was trying to inject some fire in the players bellies and he knows the club inside ou5 so no familiarisation period. It was PV who wanted him gone anyway.

All the available managers are failures elsewhere so what’s to lose ??

Anyone else notice Guardiola tapping up Eze at the end of the match???

To stay up we “may need a Roy team” it’s not going to be pretty but we need to stay up

Wilfried Zaha. He seems to run the dressing room and cannot be touched no matter how s*** he plays, let him in as interim player manager until the season's end, and then when we are in the Championship we can look for a no nonsense new manager, get rid of all the dead wood and lazy feckers, keep those that are willing and able and promote the best of the academy.
Now there's a plan.

As much as this won’t happen I’d be up for it and never thought of it

If it's Lampard, Gerrard or Parker I'll riot.

Marcelino. Go big or go home.

I'd try for Kompany, Burnley are miles clear at the top of the championship, playing good football and he's worked under/learned from Pep
