If we lose the next two or three it is surely likely that a change will be made. There are plenty of ambitious and/or unemployed managers who would relish the opportunity to jump on the management merry go round . There always is, and it’s not as if we are cut adrift. Originally posted by Willo
I believe there is a realisation that at this juncture of the season, there will be no suitable candidates who would be willing to accept the challenge.

In terms of managers, I can think of a few from the lower divisions who have performed with some aplomb in the lower reaches but do not have experience, or limited experience at the top level besides I do not envisage them being allowed to leave their clubs : Michael Carrick, Carlos Corberan, Michael Duff, Ian Evatt, Paul Heckingbottom, Vincent Kompany, Mark Robins, Steven Schumacher, Paul Warne. Besides, more experienced managers might not be inclined to join with the possibility of a relegation on their CV and then having to ply their trade in the Championship.

If he doesn't sort out the attack then he might well bite the bullet although can a new manager fair any better with the players they will inherit up there ? Got to feel sorry for our defensive players as they are stopping us getting a serious tonking most games.

'It wouldn’t surprise me if some of the investors are getting twitchy already, although the boardroom does not give the impression of being that harmonious if it does come to have to choose a replacement' If they were 'investors' they would have done something about the team in January to make the possibility of going down next to none.

I think we have to stick with him as it’s asking a lot for someone who doesn’t know this squad to come in now and get results? Looking at our April fixtures we could (should) be saying what was all the fuss about? Attachment: DFA6E15B-C161-4AF6-AF39-3BF7A9E54A7C.jpeg (228.55Kb)

'Palace Chick' What all the fuss is about is that this team doesn't score which is kinda central to winning !

Stupid to lose him just stupid, the club needs to back him with players who actually have talent to help the ones we already have.

Let PV get applauded and cheered by all the Gooners next Sunday then after we have lost 3-0 get rid. As we have to be politically correct a manager of colour needs to replace a manager of colour. So Ian Wright with Gary Lineker

I am torn by the fact Vieira was not backed in either transfer windows & therefore the squad has always been weak & the fact he seems clueless on player selection & substitutions during the game. I do not think the Board will sack him, however at this moment in time fear relegation, not because of our defence or rejuvenated Midfield with Albert, but the fact we are lack lustre up front. Vieira needs to pick either Eduard or Mateta ( eduard would be my choice) & stick with them. It is quite clear Ayew or Zaha are not Centre forwards. He also needs to pick the players who have fight as let’s face it we are in big trouble now and you only need fighters in a relegation battle.

Vieira will go post season.

Nope. He needs to be judged at the end of the season. The board have not backed him so changing the manager will make no difference. After the arse game we have a series of winnable games.
