11 years in the Premiership yes but run by an owner full of hot air who loves to do everything on the cheap and is the third highest 'paid' CEO in the Premiership.
Academy blah, blah, blah (yet we don't see young players involved & certainly not under Roy) & main stand redevelopment, 'pie in the sky'.
Has a championship 'transfer policy' yet comes out after the Forest game and gives it 'your the greatest fans in the Premiership and we are going to take this club 'to the next level'. Textor appears to be the money man.
Lerma on a free and Ward re-signed, we've probably done our transfer business !!

Complete rubbish, the only major share holders with any money are H&B with 5.9 billion, but the want out, Textor 250m, Parish 65m, the club, like any business, has to be run with sustainability, the promises that H&B never appeared so the big money spent in the past was the problem we are getting over.

11 years of being at the top table & our transfer policy is always cheap, cheap, cheap (apart from 2 seasons ago with all the players ooc and an aging squad)
Brentford, for example have built moved into a new ground and have had 2 years in the Premiership in that time and they manage to outspend us !! - something is wrong.

Some are suspicious but you never know. We're not going to be spending 100s of millions but we might still get a signing or two. There haven't been loads of transfers by anyone yet. I guess the biggest is MacAllister, probably next is Lerma there are that few. Mount, Rice and Kane the rumours at present, we're not exactly in for them, there aren't even great rumours yet - for almost every team. There are two months to go yet.

Newly promoted teams are allowed to blow a lot of money way above their income. We saw that with Villa and then last season with Nottm Forrest. It's to give them a chance of survival but after those first 2 seasons they have to reign it in a bit and cut their cloth accordingly.

Were Benteke and Sakho '' cheap '' ?

I think not.

And they weren't value for money either.

Wow, take a chill pill mate.

I'm not SP's biggest fan but he is clearly a safer pair of hands than previous CEOs - Noades, Jordan and Goldberg etc.

BTW the championship transfer policy you describe is essentially due to over spending on the likes of Benteke and Sakho. Not only in transfer fees but inflated wages. This meant that the whole wage bill increased as others got contract extensions too on the back of these.
'Free' transfers are not free as their wages are adjusted accordingly - Max Meyer probably cost the club c£20m over 3 years.

Our wage bill was/is one of the highest in terms of % of income and this is only now being slowly addressed. This has clearly impacted our transfer budget.

You'll be surprised and astonished to hear that, of all teams, West Ham have made an offer.
