Ahamada has played about 30 minutes in a new league and people are already saying he doesn't look good enough! Give the kid a chance. I think the club probably knew he wasn't going to jump straight in hence why we also signed Lokonga. Ahamada is very quick which is a big asset at this level. Clearly he is not the solution to our goal scoring problem though.

Agreed, but all we seem to buy is players for the future. By the time that future comes around it could be too late to benefit

Furthermore, he has only played in 26 games in the Bundesliga so is very experienced at the top level.

I've been saying on and off, more on, since 1958!
We nearly beat the MIGHTY Real Madrid in 1961 with guys on probably £50 a week but gave 100%!
Bring back the likes of Peter Burridge, Jonny Byrne, Denis Uphill,
Cliff Holton, Gerry Queen, Rachid Harkouk, Vince Hillaire, Dave Swindlehurst, Roy Summerby, Dave Burnside, Don Rogers and Peter Taylor. Football then was a joy to watch and entertaining too, even when we lost!
Now we pay the earth and we're reaping what we've sown in recent years.
Thanks Wilf for entertaining us at various times. We will miss you.
Let's be more attacking. See what this has done to the England Test team - they now have a different mentality with a new manager and captain.
Get on top of teams, don't give them time on the ball and don't let them intimidate us.

U21 International though. And that German lad who came on last night for Brentford is hardly a seasoned pro.

My point is that given the inexperience of Ahamada, perhaps supporters should not expect him to 'Hit the ground' running in the PL.

In terms of Brentford's Schade he has not started in the PL.

We should have got the Coventry lad in the last window, instead we get an unknown midfielder from Arsenal

Arsenal paid £17m for the captain of Anderlecht whom you described as an unknown midfielder. He has also represented Belgium at U17, U19 and U21 levels as well as having a single senior cap for his country

Are you both getting mixed up with Lokonga and Ahamada? As you know we bought Ahamada but loaned Lokonga. I think he was referring to Ahamada but erroneously mentioned him as coming from Arsenal.

I think he was referring to wasting money on a player not ready for the team which I do have some sympathy with.

I know we need youth to move forward but I would have liked to have seen some real experience brought into the squad to see us through this season.

With Palace (when on a bad run) its nearly always the fixture you least expect when we turn it around. Andersen back, Zaha now has 90 mins under his belt. Our flar players (Olise, Eze) sadly bring their A game against the bigger clubs when I wish they'd do it against the Aston Villa's of this division.
I cant see City not scoring but I'm going be brave in my prediction and say 2 1 (Zaha & Guehi)

Vieira stated that he needed experience to be added to the squad. With "Real experience" can come a significant outlay and buying players with limited top class experience can be somewhat less demanding on the finances !

Too true. This could be the end of Palace as a PL side, or someone from somewhere has got to find and buy the magic ingredient of good young players at a decent price Palace can afford xx

Ahamada is being kept back for all those extra games in the Championship next year and Rak-Sakhi will be able to step up,having been on loan in League 1 !
