I'll still take Perraud, Walker-Peters and Adams off your hands

In terms of Perraud, I appreciate his qualities but I do not believe that the club view left-back as being a priority position for strengthening.

Adams has only scored 2 goals in 17 games for Southampton in 2023 but he has qualities that I admire.

Walker-Peters is a big YES from me!

Previously i believed ex-relegated players to be tainted, over-priced and no good.

Overpriced cos they are in the shop-window for many of the 17 surviving clubs. I believed such players to not have the makings of future success.

Andros Townsend eradicated that belief from me.

He is certainly an attacking right-back who could provide us with a different dimension in forward areas. He has also played at left-back for Southampton.

At Tottenham Mourinho asked him if he could call him 'Walker' or 'Peters' but the player told him he wished to be referred to as 'Walker-Peters'.

You could argue..exactly the type of player we need!

I concur with these sentiments.

Southampton paid Tottenham £12 Mill for his services and I suspect he would cost a great deal more.I also suspect that a plethora of clubs would be interested in him.

Would really love to see Chelsea and Everton go, if only for the quiz question in a few years time "Which manager got two teams relegated from the Premier League in the same season?"

Surely there's been a manager that has been at 2 relegated teams in a season.

I thought he was ok against us but is quite average when I've watched him other times.
I quite like Lavia in midfield who they bought from Man City. I'm surprised that they haven't used that striker that came on against us more who they've nicknamed 'Tall Paul'. He's looked a handfull when I've seen him.

In terms of £ per unit of improvement we'd get for it, I think KWP would be a really bad signing.

They're probably going to want £20m+ and, realistically, there's going to be RBs out there who are just as good for half the money. I really don't see a need for us to pay the PL experience tax at RB. It's the kind of move that clubs like United and Chelsea that have more money than sense sense would make as a backup signing.

If it came to it, I'd far rather pick up Matt Doherty on a free and use that money elsewhere.

2010-2011 was weirder. Aside from last place the zone changed minute to minute on the last Sunday as games finished since teams were, like this year, clustered together and GD decided things.

IIRC Wolves lost and only stayed up due to GD. Ended up breaking out the champagne (reportedly) which was not take well by others. Karma got them next year. Good-bye Mick.

You are referring to Paul Onuachu whom Nathan Jones signed from Genk for £18 Mill.
Certainly tall as a hop-pole, he is 6ft 7in in height.
He hasn't scored for Southampton in 9 appearances.

He's been accused in matches of standing around with his head in the clouds, much like our ex-player Christian Benteke... only more literally.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!
