I'll still take Perraud, Walker-Peters and Adams off your hands In terms of Perraud, I appreciate his qualities but I do not believe that the club view left-back as being a priority position for strengthening. Adams has only scored 2 goals in 17 games for Southampton in 2023 but he has qualities that I admire. Edited by Willo (28 Apr 2023 10.34am)

Previously i believed ex-relegated players to be tainted, over-priced and no good. Overpriced cos they are in the shop-window for many of the 17 surviving clubs. I believed such players to not have the makings of future success. Andros Townsend eradicated that belief from me.

Walker-Peters is a big YES from me! He is certainly an attacking right-back who could provide us with a different dimension in forward areas. He has also played at left-back for Southampton. At Tottenham Mourinho asked him if he could call him 'Walker' or 'Peters' but the player told him he wished to be referred to as 'Walker-Peters'.

Would really love to see Chelsea and Everton go, if only for the quiz question in a few years time "Which manager got two teams relegated from the Premier League in the same season?" Surely there's been a manager that has been at 2 relegated teams in a season. Edited by eritheagle (28 Apr 2023 2.50pm)

In terms of £ per unit of improvement we'd get for it, I think KWP would be a really bad signing. They're probably going to want £20m+ and, realistically, there's going to be RBs out there who are just as good for half the money. I really don't see a need for us to pay the PL experience tax at RB. It's the kind of move that clubs like United and Chelsea that have more money than sense sense would make as a backup signing. If it came to it, I'd far rather pick up Matt Doherty on a free and use that money elsewhere.

IIRC Wolves lost and only stayed up due to GD. Ended up breaking out the champagne (reportedly) which was not take well by others. Karma got them next year. Good-bye Mick.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |
