As someone has stated- Viera played with passion, commitment and drive!! His midfield and team hasn’t in the past and doesn’t reflect his playing style at all! Where is the drive and up and up em when we need it?

Very, very poor. What passes we attempt just bounce back. One attempt at goal, Richards' header and that's it. Something positive needs to be done but knowing the manager he'll probably bring on Luka and play for a point - and we know that won't work. The Manager now needs to earn his crust with some innovation, not banking on that either.

They’re a good side, but we’re hanging in. Good defending, COYP - we’re still in this. Tough game for the ref, but I think he’s doing OK.

Edouard and Eze passengers with no involvement. Eze has been a total waste of space and his tracking back / tackling has been pathetic…half hearted at best! Bad miss from Richards, that header should’ve been planted back across the goal into the far corner. Newcastle had no one on the post.

We are very lucky Newcastle have not taken advantage of the obvious weak links in our team. They must be kicking themselves. Please bring on Hughes so we can have a little forward momentum.

That’s probably the most miserable useless half of football I’ve seen in some time. We added virtually nothing to that game as a spectacle. It is like chalk and cheese compared to the Utd match.
