People knocking the pessimists here, but taking the manner of our last four defeats is it really not justified? Ings or any other so called striker would need to score an awful lot of goals, whilst putting in mega all round shifts to have prevented what were abject displays by any standard applied.. Ings, is still a good player, not so good he could carry a team playing with no fire in its belly, as I feel we have become. It’s the belly of this team that needs new faces, spend money on Ings, if we have it , but not if the mid field and defensive areas are not boosted.

Ings, is still a good player, not so good he could carry a team playing with no fire in its belly, as I feel we have become. It’s the belly of this team that needs new faces, spend money on Ings, if we have it , but not if the mid field and defensive areas are not boosted.

Like Edouard, Ings has either come off the bench or been subbed. His stats are that he scores a goal about every 125 Minutes. Edouard has our best figures at somewhere around a goal every 195 minutes.

Especially in and around the penalty area. He would offer something different to what we currently have. I would rather see him competing for a place with Edouard than Mateta. Old, Ungifted and White

I honestly believe that the Super League will be back on the agenda soon in some way shape or form, either endorsed by the current footballing authorities or as a new breakaway set up - We wont be included in it so then we will be able to have something more realistic to challenge for as the mega rich clubs will have departed to join the new format - Originally posted by sydtheeagle This, exactly. This is how the Champions League started in the first place as the big clubs didn't like the European Cup knock out format, Liverpool versus real Madrid in round 1, how dare they. If Palace finished in the same league position we would not qualify. As long as the big clubs keep getting their way they will stay within the football family. Unfortunately I agree.

The European Super league has been proposed at least 3 or 4 times, every time UEFA announce they have defeated it only to quietly give in to the big clubs demands.

This is how the Champions League started in the first place as the big clubs didn't like the European Cup knock out format, Liverpool versus real Madrid in round 1, how dare they.
