Wilf should carefully consider his age. And so should our club.

Nuts. It goes to show how entitled many players have become.

A goalie is going to fine at 35. 30 probably still at peak til mid 30s. A winger isn't as likely to be. There's a big difference. Mendy is brilliant too (the odd moment), with Chelsea's money, he knows they can pay more or someone else will.

Apparently, they said he came and he gave without taking.. but didn’t mention anything about keeping.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

We should have cashed in will two years back, invested in a decent midfield set up that works as a cohesive unit.. instead we rely on him too much.

It reminds me of Ronaldo situation, a good player that hasnt had the best finish on a. decent career due to mismanagement and ego.

Should have sold him two years ago, waste off money lost, I'm afraid this year club I support will be in a scrap to stay in Premier league, Palace was pathetic against Fulham, hope we stay up not so sure, also not convinced off our manager.

Yes we could have cashed in on him and then invested in midfield players that may or may not have worked out. Instead we kept the player that continues to be by far as biggest goal threat and top scorer.

Your Ronaldo comparison is bewildering

We need to change our way of playing, we can't be so reliant on wilf, when he leaves, he won't be playing at his peak for us... it won't be after a successful season, it will be a case of we stayed up and fixed it, inspite of wilf. Where will he go next, won't be picking up trophies or regular euro football...

It's not hard at all to see the comparison.

Now don't get me wrong, class player and has helped us, but right now he isn't being utlized properly and we are not getting the best out of him. We will probably get enough to stay up, but this season already feels like, to me and others, like a write off. PV has a mixed bag of players and he needs to determine how he moves forward and Parish needs to invest - we aren't building around Wilf, but instead moving on...

It's all very well well saying palace is 'sauce' and south London DNA but right now we look a disjointed mess.

Be happy when Zaha, his miserable face all the time gets on my nerves, money he's on I think just clear off and Palace move forward without that miserable player.

I can see why you would think this way, but I don't think it's quite that bad... I admit, I am getting tired of him... I feel we are in a lull and need freshening up, a leader to rivigorate the side and dictate midfield, we need strikers playing.

If we didn't have Wilf we would need to address these issues and I would result in the board spending money.

I tell ya, mid table prem mediocrity is not as fun as top of championship promotion push... back then we felt like a family, now, it's all corporate nonsense and HF complex.

We'll have to agree to disagree on Zaha. By letting him leave in January, there is no guarantee that Palace will invest in this window. And we would not receive significant money for him either.
I don't know of any club that would willingly part company with their top goal scorer at this stage of the season.

He isn't being utilised consistently well. He's had some success playing down the middle but you could see within the opening 10 minutes against Fulham that it wasn't going to work.

I agree that we have not progressed from the promise of last season. The main difference in the squad is that we have lost Gallagher, Kouyate and MacArthur without adequate replacements. This season smacks of being content with a mid table place and largely making do with the unbalanced squad that we have.

I hope Steve Parish has noted the next 4 league fixtures after Bournemouth...
