Perhaps no one who played in the Netherlands v Argentina game - 22 yellow cards. While such people could be the beasts we sometimes need, how often would they be suspended?

I think we should look at Amrabat. Decent defensive midfielder 26 years old and has had a good tournament. His older brother had a stint with Watford.

He could be the player that releases Doucoure to play in a slightly more advanced role.

Would seem so. My only addition to this would be to point out he had a few stray long balls and seemed to lack a bit of quality on occasions. What outweighs that is his work rate and commitment, however would he do it against Stoke on a cold Tuesday night for Palace in a similar fashion to what he does for Morocco at the World Cup? I'd argue no and that has oft been the downfall of players scouted from tournaments.

That Ounahi looked very good too, was there star man vs France however firstly I think bigger fish will eye him up but secondly same as above.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Honestly the days of uncovering gems at a WC are pretty much done - the depth of scouting globally now is ridiculous, and when you factor in all of the digital analysis that can be done remotely, there is not going to be anyone playing at such a big tournament who has not already been looked at.

Players can certainly put themselves in the shop window, and fans might get some exposure to players they didn't know, but there will be no surprises to the Prem clubs really.

I really take this back - a few of this Morocco team have definitely been flying under the radar.

The #8 Ounahi looks like he belongs right at the top level - I'd imagine he'll have some big offers come January.

It’s started, Leicester allegedly willing to bid 38.7m Euros
