In 2020 the consumption of electricity was 323 terrawatt hours Wind produced 75.6 of that. In the past two years there has been significant further growth Note that is electricity. Other fuels are available. Edited by Mapletree (19 Jul 2022 9.30am)

Edited by Stirlingsays (19 Jul 2022 2.27pm) Your information isn't up to date In Q1 2022, renewable generation increased by 9.3 per cent on the same period last year due to increased capacity and more favourable weather conditions, particularly for wind and solar PV. Generation reached 38.2 TWh, second only to the first quarter of 2020 when the UK experienced exceptionally high wind speeds. Renewables’ share of electricity generation was 45.5 per cent. Electricity is around 56% of all energy used in the UK. So over a quarter of our energy is from renewables.

They are a poster boy for the poor decisions, indeed non decisions of elites over decades.

I am so bored with your lazy posting Look up the data first will you Kindly tell me what you think is cheaper to build and run than either wind turbines or photovoltaics

BoII0cky B0II0x. I went to work this morning on the 6am start. Left my lunch in the car, and left all the windows open so the car wouldn't cook my sandwiches, because the forecast was the hottest day EVER.
I disengage, I turn the page. |
