I loved the simplicity of the statement -
Not agreeing or disagreeing, but Wow how many times over the years could a Palace side have said, we don't need Bale -
Cant be many, if any.

This signing sums up his attitude, he has no interest in playing in any form of real competitive game unless its for Wales at the world cup, not that I blame him, a mid table la liga team with no pressure or unrealistic expectations just to remain match fit suits him.

I couldn't think of a worse signing for a mid table prem team to make.

Rangers fans might well nominate his mate Aaron Ramsey as a worse option.
Why bother with either when Connor Wickham is without a club and younger than both of them?

So a mid-table La Liga team suits him, but a mid-table Prem team he would be the worst signing ever? How does that work?

To suggest you couldn't think of a worst signing is quite funny.

Because they're not even remotely close in level of competitiveness, yeah you're right I couldn't think of a worse signing than a player who will retire after the world cup and only wants to stay match fit untill then, the fact you think it would be a good signing is quite funny.

They should maybe try him at centre-back - that's the true test of a player

Is too good at dribbling would be wasted, maybe that makes him the greatest player of all time, should sign for a club in ligue 1 to prove it.

He wouldn't be the worst signing ever, he is a good player.

I do think it could be the most nonsensical signing we could make, given his age, salary expectations, recent injury history (all three things against our current policies); the fact that his starts would come at the expense of Zaha, Olise and Edouard (the latter two needing PL game time to kick on, the former our top scorer); and that we've just renewed Ayew's contract.

You obviously dont know about Bales attitude. He has so much money, he has lost any motivation and is only interested in playing for Wales now. No top Premier club will want him, he certainly isnt a team player and would be disruption to any mid table team. Why do you think he hasnt played regularly for Real Madrid for years? No commitment and fallen out with all recent coaches.

Well the last time I saw him play regularly was the season before last for Spurs where he averaged more than a goal a game and looked plenty interested.

Everything else just seems to be perception.
