Has been a very good signing, just what we needed at the time but has slowed down a lot in the last two years and one of his biggest faults is getting caught in possession in dangerous areas. Bought into the spirit of the club and if he goes he has my best wishes and thanks.

His down turn in form coincided with Covid and his father's illness. I don't think we can be too hard on him. He may be Serbian but still human!
He was one of the best for a season or two. I think Arsenal were after him. In hindsight 25 mil would have been nice. However, we shouldn't forget his important contribution to the team and to staying in the Premier League.
We probably never took to him like Jedi for some reason, but he's still a better player than Jedi in reality. He will still have a part to play somewhere.

I think he was on a downward path before he got Covid and before his father's illness. Certainly, both of those events prolonged his footballing problems and whilst a couple of recent performances have seen an improvement in form, he remains too slow for the way the game is now played, especially when countering the opposition's high press.

His first two seasons with us were good, in fact, he was a vital part of our team.

When he does go, he'll have my thanks and best wishes.

What people tend to forget, we asked him to come and play for us and offered him lots of money to do so, he didn’t ask to come here. I think he has been an honest pro and given his best, but he has fallen from his peak for whatever reason.
Thanks for the memories.

We now play a style of football that doesn’t suit his game. He is too slow and it shows up massively. IMO it’s as simple as that.

He would be very good in a team one level down from the PL whether that be here or abroad.

It makes sense to move him on if we can. He's rumoured to be the second highest player at the club. If you assumed that was £85k per week and you sold him for £5m, it adds £9.4m to the years accounts. If you sign a player for £15m on £50k per week, that takes off £5.6m for the year. So moving him on could in essence fund Doucoure and show a profit on the years accounts.

I think he's deserved a lot more support and backing from the fans. He had the fall out with the Serbian manager and subsequent dropping from the national team that affected him, then he had covid pre-season followed by the death of his father. You'd like to think that as fans we would get behind him more in his hour of need rather than boo him at the POTY awards.

He was great for us in the first 2-3 years and then through circumstances out of anyones control and things that happen in life, coupled with a change in playing style that he's less suited to, it's just not the right fit anymore. That doesn't takeaway from the contribution he gave us in the first few years and the way he has lead the club as captain. Sometimes things just naturally go in opposite directions.

Now is the time to part ways for a decent fee and with our good wishes and respect. I wish him well and he will always be part of the family and welcomed back with open arms in any future capacity.

Yes, I've heard whispers about extensive drug-taking among footballers too.

I think it's meant to be a joke based on the incomplete wording of the other poster.

I see there are a lot of rumours circulating about Everton being after him, probably because of the potential fee involved.

I think he will either goto Fulham because of Marco Silva (his previous boss at Olympiakos), and indeed back to Olympiakos themselves.
