Odd if true as I thought his contract would be up in two years? Quite frankly if we got him on a two-year loan then that would be a great deal with little risk. You have to ask though, have so many players been ruined by one team in such a short space of time?

You don't have to ask; you just have to laugh.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Yes, that is the appropriate response! I think clips of Harry Maguire doing stupid things are now trending more than kittens and puppies.

To be fair, he was the first PL player to showcase a rare aptitude for the now fashionable 'no look' defending.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Watching AWB when he plays for Man U he seems to be strangely uninterested and uninvolved. He doesn't seem to take up positions to help out other players. Maybe that's harsh, and perhaps it just reflects the fact that Man U aren't playing as a unit, more as a collection of individuals - and they also lack the intensity that other top teams (and Palace) display. So if he does come to Palace, let's hope he can find his mojo again.

I only watch MOTD highlights but whenever Moan United concede he always seems to be walking back rather than busting a gut. Probably unfair but he does seem disinterested.

Like others before him he left Palace too soon.
He needed another season at least with us given his lack of Premiership maturity.
I do not blame us for cashing in but it has possibly not helped his career - not that United are blameless either!!
I would have him back in a heartbeat and I suspect that if the opportunity arose he would hitch a lift back as well.
Will it happen - unlikely, but you never know!

Whether he comes back could well come down to the price.

If Utd are asking even half of what they paid to us, then I don't see it happening.

I don't think we are a club willing to pay in excess of £20m for a full back.

And for that reason I don't think Max Aarons is a viable signing either.

Yes, i think so too, maybe we could offer Benteke, Luka, and Jairo as a swop

How much extra would he have to pay in that instance however for them to take those players off our books?

Agree. Plus Utd have to much restructuring to do to be silly with money.

Cant see this one happening

Seems there might be some legs concerning AWB & that young lad from Lens, the bbc have highlighted it in this . . . [Link]

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.
