Maybe should be Palace supporters' motto....

Been the same for years, but I never thought we had a chance of winning the cup this year. The big teams are just too strong. We had a fairly easy run of games to the semi, as soon as we meet a top 4 team, its over.

There’s been no urgency Becky or any apparent intent to score a goal. I’d of argued that Gallagher would have brought that to the table at least.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

That said thought Vieria was too concerned with shutting Chelsea out rather than us going forward - and let’s be honest - the way we pranny about playing out from the back, being a tight defensive unit isn’t our strong point.

Still all part of his learning curve.

Yet we don't learn same old mistakes over and over again this is why it is so annoying.

I don't agree with trying to keep it shut for Chelsea if that was the case Ayew would of started to offer cover to Ward.

Really?

So why bother to turn up for those games o wait we turned up to play the big teams and beat Man City and got a draw the same with Arsenal.

We all know full well was screwed over in one of the Liverpool games.

We didnt deserve anything. Frankly without Gallagher we are bang average and this game was a step too far. Still, a good learning curve of what is required going forward.

Nothing to do with Gallagher missing another person who clearly has not watched all the games he was subbed in last game due to being awful.

Viera had a nightmare, played 4-3.3 all season, then thought he would be clever, and if failed, God knows why and where ward was playing, and why Mateta came off for Ayew, For me he blew it.

Was hoping we would have least had a go but more concerned stopping them than winning the game

A little disappointing in the end. Not just the result but come away feeling we didn't give it a real go. Tactically I thought it was bit of a mess. Perhaps easier to say in hindsight but would have preferred our 4-3-3 with Olise starting on the left. Zaha as a central striker sadly looked totally ineffective.

Great management PV! Great idea having Ward on running up the wings to get onto Andersen’s crosses! Awesome idea leaving Olise on the bench for 70mins! Obvious he can’t play football. Wasn’t Clyne fit? He’s on the bench? Still, Ward’s a lot faster than Clyne huh? Heard the commentators talking about how Palace were sitting back allowing Chelsea (who are useless passing) to keep possession. Great tactics PV!

We were outclassed after about 60 mins. It looked like we were more tired than them. Still, if we'd taken our chances - it's the usual story.
I don't agree with the people saying we were rubbish. We weren't bad, just not good enough. As others have said, Ayew and Benteke never looked likely to be game changers.

No point in recriminations or blame.

Credit to the team, the boss and the fans.

Up to the 65th minute we were still in it.
