Not in my experience. I have debated such issues with the 'movers and shakers' and I find them to be pretty sensible. This particular example is classic, no knowledge at all of a CPFC display until told by Wembley. But the Holmesdale display has been public knowledge for weeks. So who has the immature attitude? Who failed to consult? More importantly, why did they fail to? The answer appears to be a certain lady that sees herself as above the need to do so. Well - in my experience, yes, at times there is entitlement and immaturity. Simply reading that press release is enough to demonstrate that Even your response is somewhat from the same stable - if the issue is a lack of communication between fans and club staff keep it internalised and work it out rather than making it public and coming across badly.
Did you know? 98.0000001% of people are morons. |

Then I suggest you have a go For many years this has been a matter of personal frustration for me For example I was told my tickets would be available at the Box Office on Monday. I was finally able to collect them tonight. When I did they had been changed so that my son and I are now 5 rows apart. The ineptitude is mind boggling. Every time the singing section has engaged with the club it has had to fight its corner extremely hard. Which is odd as the club is fully aware of its value. I will repeat, the club did not inform the singing section at all of its plans. In the end that was Wembley. This is less than a week before the match and it is typical. There is little more the singing section can do if the club won't do its part.

I always remember the 2 cocks display. Bunch of fairies cant apricated it is everyone's club. Else they are acting against their original principles that the club is for the fans not just a select minority of fans.

What a shame this issue has occurred. I was at Wembley in 1990 and for the ZDS trophy match and what a wonderful, high spirited and colourful sight (and sound) our supporters gave out. Unfortunately I can't get to the match on Sunday, but I am really looking forward to seeing the colour, the sound and undoubted heartfelt fervour that only Palace can produce. If anything, this banner contribution from a corporate level may just add to the highly anticipated efforts of the HF and all other dedicated groups of supporters. I am expecting to be wowed by the spectacle and the result. Can't wait for what we do at the final! Mate I agree with you totally..! This is an occasion that we as a club haven’t got to that often - so surely we want to make it a spectacle and a sea of red and blue plus whatever the “HF” come up with at “our end”..!, This is Wembley for Christ sake - more than enough room for all banners and associated regalia. We’re playing Chelsea in the Semi Final of the FA Cup and safe in the league - we’d of all taken that at the start of the season..!! Just enjoy the moment..!! COYP

The club have put this up, which includes what their display etc will look like, & if this is what got the HF's knickers in a twist then god help us, smacks of 'me me me' Edited by eagleman13 (13 Apr 2022 12.57pm) I agree, I can't see what the problem is. As has been said, it's a dirty great stadium, and what the club have announced about their display is not going to take anything away from what the HF have planned.

Brighton has a good one, they issue clackers too so you'll have a whale of a time The release isn't from 'The Holmesdale Fanatics' it is on behalf of the Holmesdale singing section. Which, as we all know, is unique and is an independent group mildly tolerated by the club. But not consulted unfortunately, nor is there any significant consultation forum in place as far as I know. That is a massive error knowing now more clearly than ever the effect of vocal and unswerving support on the team, the atmosphere and the TV ambiance. You seem to know a lot about Brighton The singing section sounds like something you’d find at their ground! It’s not unique, at all. Fans have been getting behind teams, since teams had fans. It’s what footballs all about. The hf, or singing section as you prefer to call them, just need to realise that they’re not the only Palace fans, and maybe, just maybe if they stopped crying about the club not listening to them and listened to the other fans they could all collectively make more noise, and bigger better p**** banners if that’s your jam.
I'm a little bit backwards |

I have been singing for Palace for nearly 60 years Never before has there been wall to wall singing for a full 90 minutes. Now we do that every match. Yes, it is special. And no other English club does it game in, game out. The section doesn’t cry. The club just keeps messing up. We all know this. It changed its mind twice about moving the section for example, clearly reneging on an agreement reached with the HF and then having to do a u turn If other fans want to step up to the plate then great, bring it on. Just don’t snipe from the sidelines.

I suspect, now we know what is planned, there won’t be a problem The issue is the club not consulting and not being trusted. Especially after the Socios nonsense

I attended the 2016 final and was in row 5 … the banner the HF held up meant I couldn’t see the pre-match stuff. I also have a friend who has usher syndrome (deaf and receding eyesight can only see 20% of his vision field) he was bang in the middle and just in front of the HF … a member of the HF pushed him away saying it was “their area”. As much as I enjoy the chants and banners etc there has to be a line somewhere and the HF are dangerously close to it (if not overshot it).
They say hard work never hurt anyone ... but why take a chance? |

I think they need to realise they’re not quite as important as they think they are. If they concentrated on doing the good job they do and stop trying to shove it down everyone elses throats they’d have a lot more respect from the rest of the fan base
