Looks like it’s going to happen, West Ham are out of the picture, regarded as 4 top competitor.

Interesting update on Sky re Denis Bergkamp and PV engineering this move. Bergkamp being the father of DVB's girlfriend. Reckon this will happen unless Utd put some crazy demands on the table.

The problem is:

If Gallagher continues as well as before AND we get Donny in and he is successful, then at the end of the season we have two very big 'holes' in our team to fill.

Bad enough finding a replacement for Gallagher but to have to find another as good as van de Beek will be a colossal task and very expensive to boot.

Man and boy Palace since my first game in 1948 sitting on my dad's shoulders

Yes but is it not always so?

At least we have a few months to work on it.

This is over-hyped b*****t.

Van der Beek is a good player but the PL is perhaps not his place.

He is not a goalscorer rather a good passer of the ball.

Probably not quite who we, or Manure, need.

We already have Jairo Riedewald and he is similar.

In fact he is probably better, but the grass is always greener for some of us.

Disagree, we DO need a good passer of the ball.
I am not so sure that Reidewald is good as him and certainly isn't a great ball passer.

His passing of the ball is excellent, but that's it.

In the Dutch tradition. and Van der Beek is the same or better.

If it does not translate well to the Premier League, that is just how it is, the PL is an acquired taste.

If he comes good luck, but it looks like a duplication and its only six months.

A new player, like a manager, gives a temporary lift.

Lol

He is nothing like Jairo.

If you even bothered to google, you would see his goal scoring abilities.

I see he has scored twice in the PL for Manure.

I think this is a waste of time and money, why pay United a loan fee, pick up his £120000 a week wages and get him ready for United to sell for a huge fee. We are better of buying the Russian Daniil Fomin we are supposed to be interested in for around £4.5 million. This boy is 24 and is described as a VDB type player if not better, we will also own him outright.

Max Meyer was a similar case of a German wonder-kid whose style was European but not ours.

He was on the fringe but never really got going, like VDB at ManU.

Anyway let's see how it goes.
