Agreed, Ayew having a great game, Gallagher and Edouard have been very good also. Zaha continues to labour, wonder if he's carrying an injury

The game against Man Utd would’ve been seen and watched all across Ghana

He would’ve got a lot of Criticism and remarks due to his miss.

I expect he is determined to make up for it today!
This his performance !

Ayew has had a great half. Gallagher very good, as we’ve come to expect.

Shout out to Hughes too…keeping it ticking over at the base of the midfield 3 very nicely.

We may have found our midfield trio. Controlling the game and looking comfortable.

Kouyate always worries me.... can he not just play the ball when he gets it, rather than turning in circles and doing that little 'shuffle' of his?

Great 1st half.

Ayew, stand out player so far(where did that pace come from), Hughes, tenacious & not stupid/silly, CG back to his freelance role & a well anticipated & taken goal, Wardy, how old?

Nervous 2nd half to come(its a Palace thing)

C.O.Y.P.

McArthur when fit will get his place back and one of the trio will be benched.

Ayew is not always sharp, and of course his finishing has been terrible forever, but he works as hard as anyone on the squad except Macca. Glad he found Gallagher.

For anyone who can't watch the match, Hughes has played very well. He helps everyone around him play better.

He’s holding the ball well but still doesn’t look like he’ll ever score again. The one on one miss was awful. Wilf was at the back post to slide it in if he doesn’t back his shooting.

MOTM is unquestionably Gallagher. Ridiculous engine both attacking and defending. Quality player and never doubted he’d miss his chance. Hughes has completed changed our midfield balance and can only question why he hasn’t been given more opportunities.

We need to finish this game. If we try to hold on I fear someone like Rondon will punish our set piece fragility.

Maybe, you could apply the same argument to Eze but it hasn't happened. If we can string a few results together with this trio PV maybe reluctant. Still a half of football to play, let's see what happens!
