The manager situation throws this all up in the air. Could be a tight, nervy 1-0. Not sure what I put in the prediction league, but pretty sure this is one I originally thought we'd win. The points would be very helpful.

Palace win. Could be 1-0/2-1 could be a landslide but a win. Maybe Eze on the bench but i doubt it. Might be on the bench for City or Wolves. I hope we are sensible and don't rush him back.
Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that. |

Crap that's us screwed then. OTOH a broken clock is right 2 times a day - perhaps this is one of his 2 times this season!

I don't really see the sacking of Bruce and all the other drama as particularly significant to how they play this weekend. It's the same players, just less coaching staff around them. They've no apparent playing style or recruitment strategy being outlined, they're just stuck in limbo - wanting to attract global mega stars but stuck with a team on zero wins. They're going to have to pay way over the odds to actually sign anyone of note, and if even half of the transfer stories are true, what is the strategy behind the links? They've no recruitment infrastructure in place.

I really hope we absolutely roast them. Not so much the geordies but that hell child Staveley and her entourage. Would be better placed at Ascot or Wimbledon not Selhurst. Please team give them a regios thrashing. I want to see her squirm. Not doing football any favours.

We need to play all our most dangerous players and really go for them. Olise must start, even if McArthur does the Luka role, and Wilf back. 25mins 2 up, game over

I doubt that will have much influence on the results, but you never know. If he could I'm sure Parish will be keen to add additional encouragement, especially as it seems he was one of the more vociferous opponents to the Saudi deal. Jones was brought in to help improve Newcastle's attack so I expect them to play more on the front foot under his charge, but how that will impact the game only time will tell. With Wilson and ASM they will always carry a threat, however cr@p the rest of their team are.

Hopefully Jones will have them more attacking leaving great big holes at the back we can exploit. Originally posted by taylors lovechild
