It might be a little tricky if you don't own a smartphone or a printer.

granted, but what % of fans do you think do not have a smart phone or printer, or a friend/neighbour/family member who could very simply print a ticket for them…if you dont have any of the above you aint going to football on your own.

like i said, moaning for moaning sake. sure the ticket office would print you one if you asked nicely.

This old git went to the box office this afternoon .
I took my season tickets along with me and asked for help as I don't have a smart phone or printer .
I showed her my Nokia phone [ for some reason she laughed ]
She said that ok and printed out two tickets .
I then asked if she could print out tickets for the next few games or all until the end of the season .
This is so I didn't have to come to the ground before each home game for my ticket .
She said that they are only doing it a game at a time as things might change .
I then asked her to register my complaint about this system . She said she would along with the other 100's they already have .

The ridiculous thing about that is it clearly shows they do not have a clear, well thought out plan for introducing this new system. If they had they would know exactly what the process would be in the future for those without smartphones - how can a system like this be introduced 'a game at a time as things might change', it's pathetic and insulting!

Poster on bbs was told by BO that this system may be abandoned due to the amount of complaints they have received. Ffs couldn’t make it up.
I will add I have the utmost sympathy for the BO staff, who have had this thrust upon them and have had to take the brunt of the complaints

Hopefully! Maybe common sense will prevail.

Well done to the box office staff for being in the front line and having to put up with all this nonsensical farce

It does seen to me to be a little strange that in one sense the club introducing a whole new system to those that embrace technology and have why and wherefore to be able to use it is fine.
I just don't see why the club cannot also continue to run it's existing season ticket plastic card system as well for those that are either tech savvy or do not want to switch over. There are many reasons some are nothing to do with technology etc.
A lot of reasons are just down to not only individuals but groups and families of fans and how they manage their season tickets and the club have just totally failed/ignored/not bothered to research how this new ticketing might now affect them.
They should have left things as they were for this season and then conducted some decent research ahead of next season.

Absolutely correct.
