It will depend on how much the channel relies on advertising I have no doubt that any company that sponsors the channel will face protests. As with coke though it can affect them in the opposite way whereby consumers are fed up with being instructed what to agree with.

I wait with anticipation as IMHO this will not happen. I doubt Bosch are quaking in their boots. Originally posted by Badger11

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

As you rightly say, the Left are addicted to being offended. They will watch output they despise to spot something they can be outraged about. Most sensible people just change channel or switch radio station. Originally posted by Matov
In a way, pushing what is perceived as a Right Wing POV is probably a better business model in the Media these days because not only do you get the Right but you also get the Left, who are addicted to taking offence and then boring the nadgers off the rest of us by telling the world about it. Essentially they need their fix of outrage and if Andrew Neil can serve them up with it, they are more than happy to help his viewing figures out. I guess the downside is that you can end up getting cancelled but with regards to this new channel, I cannot see that happening.

Having watched a little of it tonight, I must admit that it does look a tad on the raw side when it comes to production values but I wonder if that is deliberate? Perhaps gauging how people react when compared to say the almost photo-shopped bunny boiler optics that Sky can give off and the ludicrously constipated BBC approach where they try, through gritted teeth, to pretend they don't loathe with a passion the majority of working-class mugs who are forced to pay for them?

Eye rolling is different to taking offence. Stupid or diverse behaviour and opinions don't offend me Unlike many on the Left who post here and particularly on " the other site ", I don't take disagreement as a personal attack, all opinions welcome. " Absolute proof " ? Proved to who and by what process. It's your opinion but that doesn't make it true Originally posted by DanH

It’s utter amateurish dross. At least Fox News and their equivalent Ilk have some professionalism and skill. The gaping hole where piers blorgan and his mates should be is demonstration enough that this is a dead man walking. Niche doesn’t always equate to success. Especially when it’s so woefully put together.

Yes, let's see if protests actually happen. It's all a storm in a teacup right now, let's see if they are here in six months, and what the viewership numbers are etc. If there is insufficient advertising it will close Originally posted by Badger11
