They are only going to hate you, justifiably and forever.

If you look at it from the Jewish state perspective they really have no choice but to push out the Palestinians and have a fully secured landmass with no fifth column infiltration. They can then work on their neighbours, using money and supporting their own repressive regimes to normalise relations. With the big brother support of America to back them up this has already been shown to be effective.

This is a far more realistic path towards success than any two state solution. They have learnt from history and implement this inch by inch, using the 'boiled frog' metaphor. Anyone looking at the demographic map of the region since 47 can see that.

It's naive to think that a two state solution is in the interest of Israel or that it would work out well for them.

What happened in 47 and the forced evacuations and death and the wars and treatment since aren't going to be forgotten.....They would have a permanent enemy at their gates. And the weakness shown would embolden their neighbours.

Now, I won't call any of this justice. I would agree with you that it is the very opposite.

But this is real life, where the concepts you believe in come up against reality and the outcome is always the same.

The usual suspects are out in force today Corbyn Abbott etc. Demanding the government stop the Israeli's, err how?

I don't like what is going on over there any more than they do but I don't see how you can get in between 2 sides who want to kill each other.

Still if you shout and protest I'm sure that will solve a 2000 old conflict.

It's red meat to their base.

Easy meaningless window dressing for political point scoring as they know the government don't want to annoy Israel because that means annoying Biden....their muppet.

My own observations from media seems to be that civilians, predominantly women and children, are either being killed/injured/having their homes destroyed, as a state seeks to land-grab.

When some Austrian bloke with a funny moustache did something like that in the late 1930's, he seemed to upset quite a lot of people.

I think any criticism of Israel will immediately see the anti-semetic card played. Meanwhile, the violence escalates towards a kind of genocide of people and territory.,....and the world just watches (or in the case of the USA, provides the military hardware and funding)

I disengage, I turn the page.

Israel's strategy is very simple and consistent. Whenever missiles are launched from Gaza to attack Israel, they retaliate.

The Palestinians are Arabs and the Arabs are semites.

So you could accuse the Jewish state of having their own form of anti semitism.

But I'm being glib.

There will be no genocide, but it is certainly a form of slow ethnic cleansing: I say what I see.

Though the left have no issues with that in Europe do they.

What do you think the Palestinian should do about its people being removed from the west bank and Israeli settlers moving in? Yes, we can all see that HAMAS are a disaster but who will stand up for these people? The reason HAMAS are so strong is because no one else succeeded.

Didn't this start because the IDF were throwing stun bombs into the Al Aqsa mosque? Frankly, while being no friend to Islam I was shocked. Major religious buildings should be off limits.

This clearly isn't the full picture though. If someone takes your home from you and you defend yourself are you 'attacking them'. Clearly HAMAS are no shining example, but they are 'useful' for Israel since they're clearly looking to gradually extent their land grab. It's inevitable that there would be a response to that.

Besides, Netanyahu is losing power and facing corruption charges. There's nothing like a little warmongering to act as distraction and to consolidate power. Unfortunately it will likely achieve just that.

Whenever Israelis steal more land from the West Bank, the Palestinians have every right to retaliate. The Israelis seem to think they can go around punching anyone they don't like in the face and then complain when they get punched back. Of course the Israelis aren't simply punching people in the face, they are murdering defenceless women and children.

Unfortunately over the decades it's hard to deny that it's been a successful strategy for them.

It seems like both sides have people who support the overseas like its some sort of football match. They've all watched too much Disney and think this is a good vs bad issue.

If it was like a football match, then it would be like Millwall vs West Ham. Both a bunch of scumbags who are simply spoiling for a fight.

I really think everyone should just stop interfering and leave them too it. Its only delaying the inevitable. They won't learn to look for peace until the beat the s*** out of each other.
