No, but you laboured the point about the tiger to death on the other thread, and I don't see that the 'member for Medway' has too much relevance........

Clearly you've spoken to my Mrs becks as she portrays similar feelings

its prince phillip. The law was the law during the blm riots but it didn't get applied. Exceptional situation as has the last 15 months.

It takes some doing to bring in BLM onto a post for Prince Philip.
Hang on - no ones mentioned Tommy Robinson yet! He must have something to do with it surely.

I'm sure he wasn't a fan tbh so it is relevant.

So phillip, r.i,p, lived to nearly 100, in great comfort for the last 70 years, did his bit in the war, like lots of others grandfathers i imagine, set up d.o.e scheme, was generally a good egg! But lets not forget, he asked for more taxpayers money or the royals would be forced to downsize,(which of the 4 castles/palaces he ment i don"t know, but windsor is absolutely massive, did a job there one night and it is a stunning place to live). He also called the british workers sloth(thanks Tim Gypsy hill for putting me right), lazy in other words, and shot a tiger! That was 60 years ago before they were becoming an indangered species, but wtf, he shot a tiger! Would any other sane people, just shoot a beautiful wild animal for the fun of it? If it was attacking you you might, but this one wasn"t, but phil shot it for fun, and has the pic to prove it! I know Tim Gypsy hill thinks thats ok, he told me, but phil wasn"t a saint obviously, we all wish him well in the next world, but i hope karma does exist in whatever land that is and the tiger is in front of phil in the hierarchy!

Oi! I never told you it was ok. I said it was 60 years ago, before the endangered tag was added. Just after he co-founded the WWF (the panda one, not the acting wrestlers).

The point being, why would anyone shoot a great beast, even if the law said you can? If someone made it law you could go to London zoo and borrow a shotgun, and blow a tiger away, for the fun of it, because it wasn"t endangered , free, just good fun, i"m hoping you would say no thank you! So this has nothing to do with conservation, more human decency.

What makes it a beast greater than a bull, a lamb, a pig, a chicken, a fish, all of which you don't mind killing to eat? Or how about we go further, dogs and cats eaten in various countries, and how about those pesky rats and snakes and spiders? That's ok? Or just what you think is wrong? You ask a vegan how decent he thinks you are that you wear leather shoes or a woolen jumper. He is the same as you, but less tolerant of what can be killed.

But, Prince Philip shot a tiger, so damn him to hell. Get a grip pal. It was one tiger, and it was yonks ago. How many chickens have you eaten? And how many have you killed? In fact, if you had to kill and butcher a pig for yourself, you wouldn't be having bacon for breakfast.

A stringer for the Guardian tweeted this

[Link]

'Deeply saddened to hear it was peaceful. He deserved so much more (pain).'

Why?

I am a republican but what on earth did Phillip do that warrants a slow painful death?

Yes he had privileged but is that a justification for a painful death? There are plenty of people on the left who have advocated and celebrated violence over the years. Would she say the same about them?

At least with Tony Blair it can be argued he caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocents not aware of anything that Philip did that comes remotely in that class.
