Also the EU have just blocked the Irish accepting the Covid Vaccine made in the UK from being transported to them, how nice.

Great news- just shows the E.U were fair after all! On a different note, funny seeing the scottish fishermen moaning they have been left with crates of shellfish that are held up with all the boris bureaucracy- you voted for it ! They threatened to dump it outside parliament- lots of business"s over here moaning today they have to pay more for returned goods by vat and customs duty coming back to the uk, than they make on the original deal, having to leave the goods with the couriers to keep- that worked out well Jacob!

If you want to think everything Is sh@te, guess what, it will be! Maybe try and think a bit more positively, Nissan are investing in the country and creating jobs, this after we have been told our economy will collapse.

Remainers will never think positively about anything related to Brexit, that is a given. There will be negatives and there will be positives, that is also a given and I do not believe any Brexiteers on here have said it would be easy. I am more than content with voting to leave, the EU will eventually implode, imo, and it will be fun to watch

Reading the detail of the Nissan news it's basically that they are no longer planning on moving anything because we've managed to get a deal that means UK production will continue to meet EU standards and therefore does not impact upon their EU market access. So maintaining the status quo of what would have happened if we had stayed in the EU. Good to know that maintaining the pre-Brexit status quo is news to celebrate. Edited by DanH (22 Jan 2021 5.26pm)

A lot of European nations are doing their collective pieces at the moment over the vaccination cock-up. I appreciate we are all guilty of assuming the bias of whatever side we support but on this particular issue, the EU have been beyond woeful. And for a nation like the R.O.I, it must be even more galling. I get why we all like to blow certain trumpets and ignore others but on this issue, there is really nothing positive to say about the EU approach. An approach which many people told us we should join in with. My mum has been offered the vaccine by both Guys hospital and also her Doctor. The UK really does appear to be well ahead of the curve on this one and that is thanks to Brexit.
