He's done very little of note for us in the premier league. With consistent game time, perhaps someone will get something out of him. But every manager has tried him and grown frustrated with him. Other fans seem to rate him highly on the back of cup games of ours they have seen against lower league opposition, or for the Under 21's, which lets face it is lower league opposition. For what he'd cost, it's worth a go with him for sure. But don't be shocked if he's bang average for 12 games, does something good in a game and then vanishes again for 12 games. His end product when compared to someone like Barnes is nigh on non existent.

I have no reason to say it, but there seems something fishy about Gray. He was an excellent player a year or two ago - England knocking at the door. What happened? He got close to England on the back of his under 21 performances and not his Leicester performances. He's not really ever been a regular for us.

Probably about 2 years ago, someone informed me that his end product needed improvement in terms of his crossing and that he needed to add more consistency to his game.

They were correct, they still are correct. Can't say I've seen an ounce of improvement from him since he joined. He's done some brilliant one off bits and pieces (yeah it was against lower league opposition mostly). There is something there, I just don't know he'll ever progress beyond that. I know people throw around "attitude problem" about him. Not sure about that, but he certainly seems like a sulk, with his cryptic social media posts.

My impression of him was that he plays mainly on the left which doesn't seem a priority given Eze, Schlupp and Zaha. However, perhaps I am wrong - anyone know if he is as comfortable on the right or maybe as a striker? If that's the case it could make more sense.

Lisbon, Monaco or Croydon - that's got to be a tough one.

He just can't cut in, like he would if he was on the left.

Wilf is likely to go this summer for big money, so buying Gray cut price makes perfect sense

No problem! Fingers crossed, big change in mentality this year. Rodgers was quite negative at times and always changed the team to try and combat the opponent, rather than playing our game. This year he seems content with playing our game. All the injuries didn't help us either. Plus, when the big clubs can just keep going out and signing £60m players to solve problems, it's not always in your own hands. Man U would never have got there if they'd not signed rat face last January. Ings... simple as that. Perfect replacement in the short term, one year of his contract remaining in the summer. Most the top clubs already have a striker or are likely to look elsewhere. Looks a perfect match for both parties.

He might be hunted by the bigger clubs but only as a 3/4 striker.

No offence and I'm sure you're probably right, but a Leicester fan said similar things to me about Schlupp when we signed him, and I think he's great.
