What's wrong with him? RH stating striker is priority and (what I am guessing is) the club's move to youthful players makes this seem more likely than even Benhrama. All depends on the “buy back” clause...!! Seems to me Liverpool can’t quite make up their mind whether he’s going to develop into a top player or not..!!

Ah yes. I wondered what caveat they would stick in the deal to make it commercially worthless.

I know some are of the view he may go Sheffield Utd but he may be attracted by the good younger players being brought in and also the Club commitment to having a Category One Football Academy and possible future prospects.

Brewster will go to Sheffield Utd. Sorry to hear you say that. Is that your opinion or ITK?

Liverpool supporters seem to rate him as a great natural finisher, but perhaps a lot to do to develop the rest of his game...this reminds me of Gayle. He also had a serious injury not that long ago. There is talk Liverpool are willing to sell to finance the Thiago deal, but of course it could just be talk. A club our size is unlikely to be able to fund a move for a proven top-flight striker, or attract one, so I guess a risk has to be taken somewhere, or it's another loan. With Bats already signed it would take the pressure off of Brewster if he does sign and he would hopefully have space and time to develop.

I can't see anyone agreeing to buying Brewster for £25 million with a £35 million option for them to buy him back. The risk outweighs the potential profit. The buy-back needs to be at least double the transfer fee. He looks to have great potential though.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

Any signing that pushes Benteke further down the pecking order is a good one. It may help him jump before he's pushed. For a player that's so poor form-wise and unloved he has a rather strange affliction to want to 'repay the faith shown in him' by CPFC, which confuses the hell out of me.
