I wonder how long Benrahma's been on our radar. We stalked Eze for a while and have wanted Batshuayi for ages.

I wonder who we're lining up for next summer!

6 months apparently

There seems to have been a drip feed of media stories in the last 24 hours that we are in pole position to buy Behnrama.
This may be true, but I doubt these stories are coming from Palace and it seems more likely an attempt to start a bidding war.
He was one of the best players in the Championship last season and I’m sure other Premier clubs will have an interest.

Just looking at his youtube collections etc. seems to be a very tricky player with little end product...the Clips appeared to stop early so you couldn;t tell if hi trickery ended in something... all very familiar.

What Position would he play in our system? he seems to be predominantly a left sided inverted winger. is that where we'll play him? I guess it all depends on if we keep Wilf. The prospect of fitting Benrahma, wilf, Eze and Bats into the side is quite exciting. However, not sure that'll ever happen!

Front 4 of:

-----------Eze-------
Benrahma --------Wilf
----------Bats-------

Feels like if we get him it's the green light to sell Wilf.

That's my take on it .Think we are covering ourselves in case Wilf goes ?Which makes sense, also not held to ransome if he goes as clubs will know we need a replacement.

It makes perfect sense to buy Zahas replacement first, otherwise we get to pay over the odds. Seeing Zahas reaction to scoring, I can't wait to see the back of him.

Little end product???

In 81 Championship games he has scored 27 goals and created 24 assists. His best position seems to be a left forward but he can play anywhere in attack.

Roy said something about Eze last week along the lines of how Eze is good at bringing the ball into the centre from the lines. Just made me wonder about whether Eze is going to play left midfield perhaps and not as central as many of us assumed.

I didn't check the stats so happy to be corrected , I was going based on the vids, and as I mentioned that it didn't show what he did with The ball after the 'skill' had ended, but many of them were of him running into trouble!

This is true. He has end product. One of the best assister in the second division.

Just that his price is too high imo.

If you think the price is too high then who are we to argue with an armchair scout?

I think at 30m it would be a very high price but at 20m it would actually seem like a steel. There are a long list of players that have been bought from Championship teams for between 18m-23m in the last 18 months.

Eze
Maupay
Webster
McBurnie
Bellingham
Bowen

I’ve chosen players with little to no Prem experience to give an example of the market for top Championship players in recent history.
