Palace have allegedly been working on the Benrahma deal for 6months.. and their preference is Benrahma with BOS the back up. If it is indeed going to take £25m.. I think we'll be seeing BOS though!

So we'll get the deal done in a couple of season's time?

We do have money to spend but SP will look at getting the best deals, I think we will spend out about another £30 million in this window.

That's a big claim DC. Based on what? We fans usually look at our team and recognise the gaps and the need for a striker etc, but the club prefer not to make deals rather than fix an obvious problem.

I appreciate your post came before the confirmation of Batman arriving, but surely another 30m in addition to a striker loan, Eze and Ferguson is a lot to expect.

Although I don't think Wilf will ever lose his place in the first XI, I agree that he needs to be on his toes, although I disagree that we "have money to spend" - we have debt to increase.

He should also be rested at times, I suspect he's played for us when tired or injured before so a bit of competition or backup is a good thing.

Seems like there is a deal to be done that represents good value due to his circumstances.

However it’s all over the papers now in Scotland that Celtic are making a bid.

Well looks like Benrahma will get done with 10 million to spare for BOS and young CB, if we sell anyone most of the dosh will go I to the kitty for that Ipswich bloke

I think it will be all of them. The first 3 for first team. The Ipswich kid will be bought for just over £2 million and loaned back with a recall clause at Xmas. If he has done well we bring him back or loan to a championship Club.

This will also allow us to loan Pierrick out possibly to QPR as part of BOS deal

I see that we are being linked with this guy again. He has a look of Yannick about him and is certainly lively. He would also meet the younger age requirement.

I think we may have to pay more now than we would have in September but worth a punt. Particularly, if we may be offloading some "veterans" in January.

Although I get a sense we thought we'd scrape by until Jan and get him even cheaper as he'll only have 6 months left on his contract.

I was keen for us to get him in the summer and I'm still hoping we do. His friendship with Eze could be a bonus for us. A team with him Eze and Wilf would certainly give us a bit more going forwards. Hopefully it comes off.

Agree. He has refused to sign a contract, so QPR not in a very bargaining position

Seeing as we are struggling to fit Eze and Wilf in the same team I’m not sure how we could play all 3 unless Eze or BOS become defensively solid overnight.

I really can’t see us making any signings, whether they’re free or not. As Roy said, there’s a danger of piling up players. I think, considering the current financial frailties and economy as a whole, clubs will not be buying unnecessarily unless they can get rid of players.

I can’t see any of our players leaving this window therefore can’t see at coming in.
