You have to wonder how VAR failed to give a penalty to Fulham yesterday. Clearly, the defender kicks the Fulham players foot onto the ball bringing him down at the same time. It has to be a penalty and if it’s not a penalty then it is a goal kick. But Shockley Park give a corner.

They then give a soft penalty to Liverpool for a player turning away from the ball at a free kick and it striking his arm. They say there is no big team bias, however the bin dippers were gifted a point.

Notice Guita didn’t get in Garry’s team of the week either. Nor Schlupp. Bias everywhere...

I know referees have a difficult job to do. The biggest frustration with them ( imo ) has always been consistency.

VAR is for the most part being administrated by referees. And guess what....

Eze, was, Guaita & Schlupp were both on the shortlist, Garth did say, if it wasnt for his howler, he wouldve been in.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

I agree Fulham should have had a penalty, clearly kicked his foot first. However the ref was advised to look at the monitor, so presumably Shockley Park thought it should have been. The ref had the final decision, perhaps he didn’t like the prospect of having Henderson and Robertson in his ear for the rest of the game. Why handball didn’t go to VAR is baffling. Notice Klopp still complaining about amount of games, these people knew this when they took the job, just get on with it. He didn’t mention VAR this week mmm wonder why?

Sorry, I was watching in a pub and didn’t realise it was the ref who ended up making the decision. It was a real shocker and anyone who has ever played the game will have been involved in a tackle like that and knows why it looks clean but is actually a foul.

Actually Klopp spent most of the time mouthing off about the decisions, they weren't in his favour enough! He sent the boys round to Stockley Park to nick their hubcaps for revenge.
He's a great propaganda minister.

Quite clearly took his foot first, therefore penalty. Couldn’t believe Fulham players didn’t protest more about that and the handball. Maybe they are too “nice” which will work against them in the long run.
Slightly off topic, read a comment from a Spurs fan who thought Kevin Friend favoured Palace all game! Tinted glasses or what?

I never wanted VAR and for the most part (except when penalties are overturned for diving and red cards are given for off the ball incidents which refs have missed) I hate having it, but wasn't the ref the problem in that game rather than VAR?

I wasn't watching the game for first half but had the ref not blown whistle early then surely Barnes goal would've stood.
Didn't think Pope challenge was a foul but did ref give penalty or did VAR?
