Which became an independent fee paying grammar school in 1976 while he was there. Facts, eh?

So what? He didn't come from an advantaged background he was just bright. Trying to make out he is more Tory than a Tory is BS, he doesn't come from a wealthy family that is trying to hold onto its advantages. He is just clever, whether or not that makes you jealous.

Makes you angry though apparently.
You know what they say about truth!
He really wants to be a tory though I bet Matthew.

Doesn’t make me anymore jealous than I am of someone who went to Eton.

What a silly comment. If he wanted to be a Tory he would be one. Why did you bet Matthew, is that someone to whom you really want to give money?

I know someone who was at Manchester Grammar when it went from direct grant and it was only the new cohort who paid after it went independent - Reigate may have been the same. You can't hold it against the kid where they went to school though.

The issue with Starmer is just that he is seriously lacking in political nous. His pushing of Labours disastrous Brexit stance in the December 2019 GE in the face of overwhelming evidence that it would be disastrous for Labour is the absolute proof of that.

And given that Labour only have one issue to focus on between now and the 2024 if they want to win a GE is to persuade a leave supporting England that they have their best interests at heart, his lack of understanding of what England wants means he is simply not worthy of leading a major political party. He is just froth. No substance.

"The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command." - 1984 - George Orwell.

True but that wasn't something that formed part of his duties as deputy leader of the Labour party

You're obviously right in saying that; I just saw an opportunity to have a go at Watson. He made an almighty error, and as far as I know he's never uttered a word of contrition or apology. I didn't know Corbyn had nominated him for an honour, but I've thought for years that that whole system stinks anyway.

You mean you didn’t go to a comprehensive school ?
That’s a bit elitist.

Massively middle class. Just like most people including Keir Starmer. Nowt wrong with that. What annoys me is when the Labour Party bangs on and on about we are here for the Working Class. A whole 14% of British society.

I took my 11+ at Ashburton Juniors if that makes you feel better though.
