the problem with tosun is that in reality he is no different to benteke or wickham style wise, what we actually need is few & far between somebody with gayles finishing ability but a pest like ayew. i have no idea who that actually is, but i do know its not a 28 year old tosun who will want a fortune to join a club he doesnt really want to.

This is what really turns me off Transfer Talk. I don't want to read about players that someone thinks 'might' be a good signing: I want to see properly sourced stories about potential signings. What people think or believe is utterly pointless.

Without Wilf we don't create enough - so if he goes, a creative midfielder is essential in my view.

I fisagree. He is very different from Benteke or Wickham (who are imobile big target men) and more akin to Gayle or Jordan, who run into spaces. But Tosun is also strong so he can play as center forward with ease.

I do agree although I understand people wanting to create threads to discuss signings they’d like to see even though like yourself it doesn’t interest me. I’m also not against people referencing rumours with sources albeit usually dubious however what really does my swede is posters who claim to have inside knowledge or stating something looks to be happening with nothing noteworthy to support this in threads titled ‘first signing on way’. It’s a sh!tty situation we are in and our transfer dealings/squad are depressing at best if not infuriating so please don’t wind us up any further!! I’ll wake up tomorrow to hear we’ve signed Tosun on loan now, if not I’ll be back!

You are right, although I do like to read and hopefully believe all the bullsh*t of great signings and success, when we will end up with Timmy mallet on loan and disappointed.

I think that's why there is the semi rule on sub division so you know whether it is a rumour (usually sourced from newsnow) or suggestion (football manager wish list invariably unavailable and/or too expensive and/or wouldn't dream of joining). I avoid the suggestions and concentrate on the rumours where some traction has developed through multiple media sources and plenty of posts
