Once in Dunfermline I was presented with a doughnut which contained mincemeat. It was deeply unpleasant.

That's the canny Scots for you, we'll stick our meat into anything.

I do think he is wrong but you have to respect the man if that was my child I would go looking for someone so credit to him for upholding his sons views.

I blame both Tories and Labour for their policies on law and order, human rights and immigration and deportation.

They made this problem they need to sort it. Fat chance.

Yes, I'd say that what the Father is actually doing is stating and mirroring what his sons belief were. Hence why he did that job to begin with. It could of course be argued 'well a great lot of good that did him', but as a parent part of coming to terms with such a harrowing event would be concentrating on those people he 'did' help rehabilitate and his passion for that role. Some of whom were extremely selfless and brave in confronting this terrorist.

It would be different argument, though likely a valid point, to say that those with some mindsets are hard or near impossible to rehabilitate, but in a job like that I don't suppose you get to pick and choose who you try to help.

As for the blame games between parties, I'm not sure that I trust any of them as far as I can throw them anymore. It will be interesting to see the political lay of the land post Brexit, because while people are passionate about specific issues, actual blind allegiance to specific political parties is on the wane, and I view that as being a good thing really.

Here OTT perfectly describes...in my view...the establishment and its supporter's response to this attack and others and the difference between reality and warm words.

Really pakistan?

A far better use of our security budget would be to start paying pakistan to take those on watchlists whose real allegiance is to them.

I mentioned the other day I heard Khan's pathetic response to the latest attack. As the video says it was all blah blah blah nothing concrete nothing incisive to say just like saying "lets light a candle and hold hands".

When is a politician going to stand up and say what the rest of our are thinking. Deport any foreign born nationals and lock the rest up unless they can find a country willing to take them.

If the English weren't going to revolt over the mass raping of its working class girls in over twenty towns then essentially they aren't really going to revolt. The left and neo liberals essentially are the mainstream here.

Indeed, you've seen what the establishment have done to any public figure who says anything like yours and mine's view.

The video lays out their responses and they are the power block ultimately responsible for the increased deaths and crime.

Yup.
Until it's one of theirs.
Laws will change then for sure.

Not the only turbo nutter let out of prison it seems

Joseph McCann has affected even more lives.

If you remove the IPP process without an effective replacement and then denude the probation and prison services as well as the Police and Crown Prosecution service, guess what will happen.

As we saw, things only really changed in Northern Ireland once London was bombed.

Platitudes become action once the wolf is at their door.

They moralise to others but essentially they are about themselves......It's the over extension of individualism....and it wasn't the intention of those who fought for their freedom....that's for sure.
