I expect us to be finishing in the bottom 5 this season and we are normally crap at home so this will be a loss.

I predict 0-3.

Agree

This would be my take on it too. Not an all action affair.

0-2 Everton. Completely outplayed but we keep the score down.

Everton have spent heavy and bought in a lot of players and are going to have to find a right team balance and thats going to take time. I’m going for Palace win 2:1 with a Benteke double

Ridiculous posts, I thought this site was for Palace fans. Please stop the negativity and give the team a chance. Palace to win 2-0.

They are just being realistic, your just wishful thinking, (like most of us silently)

1) Buy a winger (Lookman) from Charlton for £7.5m
2) sell the winger 2 years later for £22.5m
3) Target a new winger (Iwobi)
4) pretend interest in the winger Zaha
5) Put a modest offer in for Zaha to unsettle him
6) Pull out and buy your original target for £34m (whose scored 3 times as many goals as the winger you've sold)
7) play your first game against opposition without their talisman

And right back, and central defenders and a recognized striker.

No one can blame Hodgson's masterplans when the players he has available find it almost impossible to be able to complete simple passes to each other ..not Hodgsons fault last season, he has to work with what he has to work with, hopefully the two worst offenders will be replaced.

It is his fault when we can't take corners, free kicks and throw ins.

Everton put out official statement saying how their interest has ended and then a week later come back in with an offer they must have known we would reject. Seems very odd to me. If Wilf had gone I would have been happy with Iwobi, but he's not as good as Wilf.

I think Cahill will add some steel to the backline - his neck is wider than his head FFS!! - and may also get us back scoring from set-pieces, but the lack of pace at the back is a worry. For all the criticism of Ward he does actually cross the ball better than AWB, which might help Bentenke. Townsend and Meyer both had solid pre-seasons too and we may start seeing us focusing more on playing to Big Ben's strengths with crosses into the box.

Opening games are often very hard to predict, but I'm going for 1-1 with Richarlison and Bentenke the scorers. Camarasa to come on around 75minutes and remind us we did actually make one exciting signing.

Because of VAR, this is the season to own a player like Zaha, I have us 1-0 after Zaha gets us a penalty...

I expect a lot more of our matches to end like that as well...

Nailed on Palace win. 3-1.

Far too much negativity. We have more quality in our squad than we have had in a long time, when the injuries come good.

Let's get behind the team now. COYP.

Jackson.. Wan Bissaka.... Sansom.. Nicholas.. Cannon.. Guehi.... Zaha... Thomas.. Byrne... Holton.. Rogers.. that should do it..
