Answering my own questions cynically, I suppose one could say the answer lies with the specialist. Either the councillor or the surgeon.

Well that’s a problem I can live with. Are you trying to say that people don’t form opinions based on any personal bias? You might think that your self proclaimed objectivity puts you on a higher plane but it doesn’t. It prevents you having an opinion of your own; just a strange urge to argue with people who do. You completely miss the point! Of course people form opinions based upon their biases of personal perspectives or prejudices. The point I was raising was whether threads should state as fact such biased opinions in their titles. The thread titles here are predominately written by those with a hard right opinion as if they are fact.

Do you really need to ask that? Really? Just type in the obvious question. Something like, "why are people gay or transgender?" Make your own variant. You were refuting the fact that there are only two genders. What has that got to do with it? As far as I know the progressive view is that sexuality is not tied to gender (hence people are gay) and transgender are just people who see themselves as the opposite of their birth sex. Also, as if you are not going to get the usual progressive anti science nonsense answers as ranked by Google. There are only two sexes. The real question is why do I have to get dragged into these nonsense deluded fantasy arguments by people like you?

So 'centre right'. Scientists who would speak out have become quiet on speaking out on topics that provoke degenerate activists. Scientists who speak 'unpopular opinions' lose their jobs nowadays....because that's how the left work. And then we get the disingenuous telling us that this means that there is no disagreement. Up until quite recently the major organisations were talking very differently on these topics.

But that presupposes that your, or anyone else’s, concept of hard right or hard left actually applies to the original poster. There may be some “hard right” people here but not as many as you imply.

There are only two sexes because anyone undergoing gender realignment still ends up as one or the other. It’s not as though there are dozens of choices.

I have never known a real scientist lose their job for expressing an unpopular opinion, even if it runs counter to the general consensus. Challenging the status quo is what drives science forward. I have known pseudo scientists, often in the pay of interest groups, be ridiculed for promoting conspiracy theories dressed up as science. Just look at the climate science area for evidence.
