Even a more modest space related achievement or event such as returning to the moon would be a rather inspirational event. Returning!

Returning! Was that meant to be a question mark? Watching some Moon stuff this week reminded me how cool it was to watch Apollo 11 go to the Moon as a 5 year old. Those guys were genuinely the right stuff.

Though....I'm not trying to pull that conspiracy theory that's strictly for fruit cakes. Everybody knows the truth is that they are shape shifters with green skins and reptile tongues......Some ex football presenter told me. Edited by Stirlingsays (19 Jul 2019 2.11pm)

As long as we keep on thinking that we humans are "life", we will always find it hard to imagine how life can exist elsewhere, as we measure the probability in terms of our own limitations. As organic, carbon based life forms, we need access to essential life support systems when we travel; e.g food, air, water etc. It's one of the human conceits to think that we are the be all and end all of life. So consider the possibility of an intelligence that is not constrained by an organic body, which is able to freely travel vast distances unencumbered by physical needs; basically maybe just thought waves travelling through space. They might be all around us, but unable to communicate with our primitive speech and feeble brains. Maybe.

Anyone interested in this subject or even the more doubting should check out 'Bob Lazar, Area 51 & Flying Saucers' on Netflix. A good watch even with the daft Mickey Rourke voice overs.
