Speaking of Newcastle, there are rumours they are going to have a record window spending wise, which rather than pleasing the fans it seems to have pi$$ed them off as they're asking why this wasn't offered to Benitez (of course it may have been for all they know)

I think that the story has come about as the player has "liked" a couple of social media posts about Joelinton moving to Newcastle

Totally agree HBP. Been saying this for weeks but Rudi one of our resident accountants informed we have no money, ahem...that'll be why.

Strange that we're putting bids in all over the shop now though

Just seems to be a decent option we've missed out on for the value. Perhaps he wants £100k a week and that put us off, just a little disappointing other clubs are strengthening. My biggest worry is that we do all our business on deadline day and won't have a fully fit complete squad until end of September after about 7-8 games !

I am actually one of the accountants on here in other posts lol, we don't have any money but frustration is setting in.

Just seems to be a decent option we've missed out on for the value.

Perhaps he wants £100k a week and that put us off, just a little disappointing other clubs are strengthening.

My biggest worry is that we do all our business on deadline day and won't have a fully fit complete squad until end of September after about 7-8 games !

18 million is way too much in my opinion for what ASM has proven in the French league.

I'm just now reading about Cristian Pavon, the Argentine, close to wrapping up a move of around 15 million either to Bordeaux of France or to LA Galaxy.

And he's much better and with the experience of a World Cup and a lot of starts in the Argentina national team, unlike ASM for France.
