All I can say is that looking at all these posts weve had a bloody lot of awful defenders over the years!

We have, but i would say we have had more good ones than bad ones

Was terrible to start with but once we went into administration he suddenly improved and became a bit of a hero to Palace fans.

Edgar Davids at left back was sad to see

Once one of the best in the world.. then we saw him get terrorised

With respect, you're wrong on this one. He played well for Palace at a difficult time.

I wasn’t at the game but didn’t he deck John Fashanu when we beat Millwall in the mid-eighties ?

That is about as good as defending is for us. Anything not to like about decking John Fashanu? Top class.

One of my biggest regrets that I didn’t see it. Think Otulakowski scored our winner.

Although I think he's a great footballer,I call Van Aarnholt 'The Butler'. Why.?Because he always shows you inside

More like the doorman - he waves you right on past with a smile and nod.

Firstly i would say none of our current crop of defenders would be anywhere near close to mentioning in this list.
Micky Droy was bad - just a massive lump who you wonder how he made a living from the game. The pitches though were more like mud baths back in the 70's so there were lot more agricultural style centre halves playing.

After his performance on Sunday, Mustafi is being labelled as possibly Arsenals worst ever defender.

Not sure if this has been done before, but I was thinking about our worst ever defender.

Been thinking back, and I'm struggling at the moment to think of anyone worse than Leif Andersen.

Rudi Hedman was like Bambi on ice. He was actually quite funny to watch at times

Droy was bad but like Jimmy Cannon he was hard as nails and could use braun when he was out classed (which was often)
