My hope is that Huddersfield do indeed play with freedom, figuring they have nothing to lose, and have a good go at us - since this plays right into our hands. If they play in a cautious, disciplined way, we'll get 1 or 0 points as usual, but if they come out of their shell we might be able to play well.

Totally agree.

I understand your standpoint.

I suspect that Huddersfield played with freedom at W.Ham and scored 3 goals ! I cannot see us scoring 4 goals as W.Ham did !

Huddersfield have nothing to lose so might well play with attacking intent.

too much doom and gloom, not to mention amnesia, b4 watfd and brighton we had been really good for a couple of months - Meyer has started to look off the pace, and McArthur, Sakho has bee missed although his one clanger per game had been going up to two or three b4 he was crocked, but we've had time to regroup, Wilf WILL be back and we'll hammer'em. relax. just a shame we're still not in the cup bcos the best we can get from this season is a couple of quick wins and then fizzle out with a whimper. 4-0

Our memories are working just fine: prior to Watford and Brighton, our home form had been 3 wins, 4 draws and 7 losses, scoring only 10 goals.

3 wins 2 draws and 4 defeats from the last nine is a better reflection of our current form, home form is a concern, but we mullered Burnley, outclassed Fulham and I expect something similar.

Well let's hope you're right! The points are there for Huddersfield if they decide to sit back and defend, but if they come out like Fulham did (or are as f***ing horrendous as Burnley were that day) then we have a chance.

I think we'll win but it won't be pretty.

1-0 to us.

0-1 Another typically crap performance after another defensive mistake leads to the oppositions one chance leading to a goal. 75 mins of huff and puff around the opps penalty area with no final product again, again, again, again. No one at the top cares Roy's here for ever - bad times.

After last seasons opener will expect Palace to win by at least three clear goals!
Meanwhile back on planet earth, I will be grateful for any type of win. Loosing this will really demoralise me totally after our other recent performances.
