pp, how do you know the new stand is not being built. It went through the planning process remarkably quickly and I have heard we are currently fulfilling our planning obligations required prior to commencing work. None of this happens fast over here, so I shouldn't jump to conclusions or have you heard something different?

Now that you have actually explained your opening post I understand a bit better. I dont agree but I do see why you are angry.
I think Bournemouth have been propped up by a wealthy Russian who without him, they wouldn't even have got to the Prem. Watford? I think most agree the amount of chopping and changing of manager mixed with a largely mediocre squad have been incredibly lucky. Sooner or later I believe that luck will run out. Wolves? Lets see how they do NEXT season. Remember how well Thuggersfield did last year? Finally, Brighton. Well, it sticks in my throat to say it but they have done well. I cant stand them but they are a well coached well organised outfit with no superstars and play as a team.
We in my opinion are a better team than our league position suggests. People say the table doesn't lie and to a degree I agree with that but its where we finish that counts. 11th last year. And thats after the disaster start of losing our first 7 games! If we'd not had that start we'd have finished top half. Similarly this season we have had a poor return on goals. Strikers out of form or injured. Other outfield players not chipping in with enough. If that hadn't been the case we'd have more points in the bag.
Its fair to say Palace have deserved more than we got in a lot of games this season. And no, it doesn't even itself out at all. Southampton, Liverpool, Cardiff, Arsenal, Everton, Watford are all games off the top of my head that even non Palace supporting pundits, reporters, fans have openly agreed Palace came away from the game having deserved more for our play, commitment, performance than we actually got.
As for Parish and Freedman lying to us all? Well, show me a chairman that is 100% transparent and truthful to his clubs supporters and I'll be amazed if you find one. The money might be ringfenced for the new main stand, it might not be. The stand might get built, it might not. Where has the money gone? Well thats obvious isn't it? When you buy a top quality player these days you dont just look at the huge transfer fee. The duration of the contract is often 15m in wages, a million signing on fee, agents fees, expenses, etc, etc. A player say like Benteke that you think is 27m probably ends up at around 50m in total cost. And thats even if he spends a chunk of that contract on the treatment table. THATS where most of the money goes.
The more the clubs get in TV money the more everybody demands for themselves. Thats life I'm afraid.
